What an experience.
First Room: The television set didn’t work. The very polite front desk person came and tried to make it work. Couldn’t do it either. Switched me to a new room.
Second Room: It wasn’t as nice and did not have all of its supplies. No coffee pods for the coffee pot. That would become a problem the next morning.
Then the Internet wouldn’t work. I couldn’t get connected at all. I ended up using cell service the entire time I was there. The front desk clerk, who was very polite had no idea how to help me.
Then I tried to use the ATM. The ATM would not find an Internet connection. Apparently someone had come just in front of me a few minutes ago and it worked, but it didn’t work this time. The Desk clerk, who was very polite, had no idea how to help me. I needed to change to use the washing machine.
I left to go to an ATM to get some change and I came back and washed my clothes. Then, I found that the dryer didn’t work. I had to take all of my wet clothes - leave the hotel - and find a laundromat at 9 o’clock at night because I could not travel with two loads of Soaking wet clothes.
I woke up this morning and I went down to have some coffee - and the coffee machine was kicking out grounds with the Coffee. I told the other - also polite desk clerk that something was wrong and he had no idea how to fix it. So it is Easter morning and so far no one’s going to be having coffee in this hotel.
Again the front desk clerk was very polite, but had no idea how to fix it and had no sense of urgency to look elsewhere to try to find help. And remember, I have a room that has no pods for the Keurig machine. I decided instead to get the hell out of here.
I suppose it was better than sleeping in my car.

This has been the worst experience we have had. The only reason why we stayed is because we had to book last minute stay in VA and there was nothing else in the area. The first room we got on the first floor smelled like weed and it was dirty. They moved us to another room in the second floor and that one had red stains all over the carpet and in one of the bed sheets. We also found a dead roach on the floor by one of the beds. It was a very unpleasant experience.
Did an online reservation and rcvd a confirmation email immediately. I did not receive a pre check email on the day of arrival. Since I wasnt arriving untill 9pm I was concerned so I called the hotel. The person who answered said late check in is fine, no need to let them know. I had him confirm my reservation anyway. We checked in and get to the room. It appears clean, smells like air freshener. There was a desk chair missing one arm. Sad. Tried to find an ice machine working so went to the front desk and was told they only had 2 and both were broken. No apologies. The TV's remote didnt work. The TV displayed "this remote has not been programmed for this TV, please bring this to the manager". This was frustrating since we didnt try to use it until after getting washed up and into bed. At this point I wasnt going to get dressed and go to the front desk. Very aggravating. Besides those irritations the a/c worked great, the bed was comfortable, it was quiet, and I slept very well. Front office staff at night and in the morning were robotic. No customer service skills. Very few words, no greetings, no thank you, no asking how was your stay? This is supposed to be a Best Western Plus. I dont normally stay at BW's but as it turns out this is my second stay with this brand in less than a week. In my review for the previous BW Plus in Waynesboro, Va I wrote they need to rebrand as BW Minus! I stand by that statement. We both decided to try and avoid this brand in the future.
The room was big, and the price was right. You get what you pay for though. The hotel had a very fragrant smell throughout, as if they were trying to mask something. Large room, but overall not very well cleaned. The showerhead had two modes: pressurized hose and dribble.
Overall, I felt like this hotel would be frequented by 'by the hour' type guests. I did not feel that my family was very safe. Did not sleep well. Although, my car didn't get broken into...so that's a plus, I guess.

It’s a very nice place to stay! The rooms are spacious suites, that are thoroughly updated with wonderful beds, decor and big screen televisions. All that for less than $80 (the night I stayed, reserved via booking.com) is a win. They have a decent breakfast from 6am thru 9(ish)am (I don’t recall, my bad!!) The shower has great water pressure, and they have complimentary shampoo, conditioner and body wash - as well as lotion. I forgot my tooth brush and they had one free of charge.
