Check out is at 11am but housekeeping tried opening my door at 9am. I didn’t get up because I was asleep and they went away. Then they tried opening my door again at 10am this time I was up but I was in the bathroom so I yelled one minute but she was still trying to open my door because I could hear the door hitting the metal stopper. I rushed out and opened the door and before I could say anything she said “I yelled hello you should have said something! If I can’t hear you I come in. Put something on the door if you’re still here.” If check out is at 11 please tell your housekeepers to not bother guests until then.

I’m writing as a Hilton Diamond Member regarding my current stay at Tru by Hilton Manassas VA, booked for November 13–14, 2025 (two nights). I’m traveling with my wife and two children, and the experience has fallen far below Hilton brand standards and what I expect as a Diamond member.
Here are the key concerns:
1. Check-In Experience:
The front desk representative was dismissive and unprofessional. There was no Diamond recognition, no welcome greeting, and no water offered. When I requested water, I was given a small bag with only one bottle, despite having a family of four in a double-queen room.
2. Front Desk Environment:
A visibly dirty fan was running directly in front of the reception desk, creating an unhygienic and unprofessional first impression.
3. Room Quality:
The room is extremely cramped for a “double-queen” layout, with minimal space for suitcases. The beds appear smaller than standard queens, and while the room is newer, it feels cheaply furnished and very tight for a family.
4. Refrigerator Noise:
The room has a very small refrigerator that makes excessive, loud noise throughout the night. It was disruptive enough that we had trouble sleeping.
5. Housekeeping Failure:
I requested housekeeping for the next day. I was told it would be done later, but no one ever came. Early in the morning, a staff member entered the room without verifying the room number, refused to provide service, and took all the towels.
6. Service Desk Response:
When I reported these issues, the front desk staff seemed uninterested and did not offer any meaningful resolution.
Overall, this experience is closer to 2.5 stars and does not reflect the 4.5-star rating presented online. The service level, room configuration, noise issues, and overall hospitality quality do not align with Hilton standards.
Rooms are extremely small. There is no closet to hang up your clothes nor is there a coffee maker in the room. Breakfast was horrendous with frozen looking egg and cheese omelets and "sausages" that looked and tasted more like cut up hotdogs.
We recently stayed at Tru by Hilton Manassas and it exceeded all our expectations!
From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive — Khadijah truly made us feel at home. She was so kind, friendly, and caring. Our room was the perfect size, spotless, and it had all the essentials for a stay.
The amenities were top-notch — I appreciated the small gym area, the individual working stations in the lobby, and the continental breakfast each morning which offered a wide variety of options.
The hotel’s location was also perfect, felt safe. Surrounding area is quiet and well lit. If we ever return for a business trip, I’ll definitely be coming back to this hotel!

Notice how Hilton seems to ignore this comment !!!I was booked this by a nice old lady , I normally don’t stay in hiltons anymore even though I have been a top tier member …. but at first it made me want to stay more thought it was a nice place …. Then we got charged 260$ … they said I was smoking in the room said there was ashes which is impossible because I didn’t smoke …. The sent me some photos with just dirt saying it was ashes . I’m Pershing this via Hilton and will take to court if I don’t get a resolution , this is ridiculous and makes me wonder what kind of scam they have with that type of charge when I definitely DID NOT SMOKE IN THAT ROOM
