Had to stay here for work 3 times over a few months. It smells like disinfectant, broken stuff everywhere. Broken elevator, broken bathroom tiles, creaking beds, not sure if the lobby or room smelled worse.

Booked through HH phone call, was told it was two queen room with a pull out (that also was emailed). Actually got a two double bed without pull out. Elevator, hot tub broken. Breakfast was $16/plate in spite of HH saying it was complimentary. Pillows were flat, beds mediocre. Service was decent (refilled towels) but they didn't clean the room between 2 night stay (seems like standard practice now). $5/night for parking. Overall gist is it seems like they nickel and dime as much as possible, I've never had those types of fees at Hilton that was over $150/night if paid out of pocket, points charged over phone were also higher than the internet HH stated, but I was driving so just did it. Outsourced call center not ideal and clearly didn't have all the correct info.

It lives up to Hilton Garden Inn quality. The service is excellent and all of the staff are friendly.
The hotel does look a bit dated in places and the rooms could use a remodel, but overall it was clean, comfortable and safe. Good water pressure in the shower. Bed was comfortable. Nice sized TV.
The location is perfect. Close to so much, like walking distance to a ton of good restaurants, but you're tucked back away from the main road so the rooms are quiet.
Only suggestion I'd make outside of getting rid of the brownish/orange color scheme on doors and carpet is to improve the parking lot lighting, as there is several dark areas. I'm not sure the hotel can control this as it's part of a hotel/office/retail complex so it might not be that easy.
Oh. And the parking fee is ridiculous. That's such a money grab and it isn't disclosed on the website (it actually says FREE Parking on the Hilton website). You share a lot in a complex and parking is plentiful so to charge a fee is just petty.

I have stayed in few hotels in surrounding areas before and this hotel is not a good one compared to others. I have stayed in other Hilton Gardens and this hotel is a disgrace to Hilton Group. I have stayed in this for 3 nights and they have not cleaned the room even once, despite I explicitly asked. When I was there, one elevator is out and another one gave scary rides with loud noises and jerks. Their fitness center is a namesake room with 4 treadmills (2 of them didn't work) and few dumbbells. The service at the reception is also very dull and felt that there is no hospitality. I would not choose this hotel again.

DEPLORABLE, DISRESPECTFUL, AND UNACCEPTABLE
My experience at the Hilton Hampton Inn – Richmond / Innsbrook was absolutely horrible and completely unworthy of the Hilton name.
The General Manager, Teresa, displayed a shocking lack of professionalism, customer service, and basic human decency. Instead of addressing a serious mistake made by her hotel, she chose intimidation and avoidance.
Here are the facts:
I was supposed to be moved to another room, yet the hotel checked another guest into my room while my belongings were still inside. My bag was left unsecured in that room. As a result, $300 in cash and a ring valued at over $6,000 were stolen. A police report was filed.
Rather than taking accountability, Teresa became rude and dismissive. Even worse, she asked the police to ban me from the hotel, not because I was disorderly, but because she did not want to deal with the situation or take responsibility for what her staff allowed to happen. That was humiliating, extreme, and completely uncalled for.
To this day, Teresa has still not returned my phone call, despite telling the police she would follow up with me. There has been no resolution, no accountability, and no effort to make this right.
As a Hilton Honors member, I am beyond disgusted. I was treated like trash after being the victim of a situation caused entirely by the hotel’s negligence. This experience has permanently damaged my view of this property and seriously shaken my trust in the Hilton brand.
This was not hospitality.
This was avoidance, disrespect, and failure at every level.
If you value your belongings, your dignity, or being treated with professionalism—do not stay at this location.
