This is by far the worst candlewood I’ve ever stayed at as far as service goes. There are definitely signs around the building that shows the age of the property, but they have done a good job maintaining and keeping up-to-date. The rooms are nice. They’re clean and they’re comfortable. I was originally pretty happy when I checked in and for my first night of the stay. But had found a few issues none of which I was gonna even mention until I ran into my real problem.
They’re elevator seems to go down on about a daily basis which is an inconvenience. They say it’s because it overheats and they have to shut it off to let it cool down which to me seems like a safety hazard and they should also be getting that fixed instead of just letting it go and shutting it down when it overheats and inconveniencing their guests.
But here’s where my main issue is they absolutely refused to give you housekeeping service unless you stay here more than a week.
I travel year-round. I live out of Hotels because of my career and I’ve stayed at plenty of extended stay style hotels. I’ve never been refused housekeeping service unless I was staying more than a week. Usually, the extend extended stays will do a full service every 2 to 3 days or based upon request. Normally, I stay somewhere for several weeks or months at a time. I just switched Hotels and this upcoming weekend is my weekend to go home so I’m only here six nights. I went to inquire about how their housekeeping works here and when I told her that I wasn’t going to be here a full week she told me I wouldn’t be able to get housekeeping service. Then the best she could do was offer to give me a couple of towels. For the amount of money I’m spending to stay here, I expect to actually get service. Apparently they don’t care about keeping their customers happy here. They’d rather just be cheap. I’ll take my business elsewhere when I return next week.
If it wasn’t for them, refusing to give me housekeeping service, I would have returned stayed at this hotel the rest of the time I’m working in the area, but I can’t stay at a hotel where I can’t get housekeeping service only once a week, or downright be refused because I wasn’t staying a full week.
It isn’t a nice area, though. There are plenty of restaurants and grocery stores right nearby. It’s kind of sitting in a little plaza.

The good is that the location of this Candlewood is in an upscale area with every needed amenity in close proximity. Staff were friendly and helpful so no problem there whatsoever. Our room was definitely dated and in need of a refresh, however. It was clean and served its purpose but the shower stall, countertops, flooring, etc. were all well over a decade old and haven't kept pace with the vibrant nature of surrounding area.
One bad thing is that there was a persistent marijuana smell in this hotel. I am not sure what can be done about it but it's not pleasant for those of us who don't smoke.

The room was nice and the front desk lady was very sweet but we left in a hurry because we discovered bedbugs in our room. We immediately took all of our things to a laundry mat and put them in the dryer for hours on high. I pray they do not allow anyone in that room until the exterminator gets rid of the bedbugs. Room 316.

My family (6 y/o son & spouse) decided to stay at this location for a quick getaway from home. Everything was seamless. From the initial phone call to check in. Front office management Aerie was very welcoming, personable & informative. The room was tidy & the private room / living room offered adequate separation of space for us all. I will definitely include this location as a frequent for our needs.

I have stayed here 3 times a year for business due to the value, location, the sense of safety, but especially due to excellent customer service. Karen at the front desk is amazing! Years ago my room did not have a hairdryer. She could not locate one, so loaned me her personal one. Recently I called to make a change to my reservation & she knew exactly who I was when I gave her my name. As I checked in for that stay, she let me know she had reserved a room for me on my preferred floor as occupancy was filling & she wanted me to be where I was most comfortable. It feels so welcoming to be greeted by such a warm & caring person! Thank you, Karen😃
