- LDLinda DowdJan 6, 20261.0We have never stayed at a hotel that was filthy as the Candlewood Suites in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Our room was infested by CockRoaches and various other bugs. The kitchenette was not cleaned, if I could give it a negative review We would. We complained about the condition & the smell while we were there. I have never voiced a complaint about any hotel in the past. Upon arriving home we left our luggage outside and meticulously unpacked and washed everything. I am going to contact the BBB & the Health Department in Fredrick’s if ,Virginia. They also billed us 2 times for a 1 night stay. We got charged by Booking.com When I made the reservation at the front desk. Sincerely Linda Dowd

Not so much.. literally before you can put your bags down... then the reception will have an attitude as if you paid for the bugs too. Crazy. Not considerate either. Perfect for off the highway but you're better off sleeping in your car.

Because he reach directly for his drugs that was there 🙄 the front desk made me pay for a seconds time claiming my reservation wasn’t paid for but clearly that’s a lie when I have receipts & a bank statement !!!! Roaches here roaches there roaches roaches roaches 🪳🪳🪳🪳and so many baby roaches I’m seeing at that
- JSJohn ShererDec 24, 20251.0bugs, as other reviews point out. bug traps throughout my room, and a sock. left for a different hotel. would not refund either me or the booking agency i used. regret not looking at gmaps for reviews. update: hotel will not respond to repeated calls from the booking agency. booking agency states that by contract insofar as the hotel ignores calls then there is no redress.

After being moved to the fourth floor we and no more roaches but I did see a few smaller looking bugs around and the fridge had a weird smell. Staff is Amazing but the quality and cleanliness of the rooms needs to improve drastically. From all previous reviews there seems to be a major roach and bug infestation!
