If able, I'd avoid this outdated hotel. While overall it was okay, do not plan on staying here and expecting your normal Hilton expectations. The gym is VERY small with only cardio equipment which was unsanitary. And the gym doesn't "open" till 6 AM as it is on the same floor as rooms and to keep quiet, it does not open till late for those who are early risers. Tried to wipe down equipment but was still nasty. The room had a cracked sink, mold, a stove which was from the 60's or 70's, the towel rack bar kept falling off, and a thermostat which I believe still has a mercury switch in it. The worst part was the human fluid (blood or mucus) on the wall nearest the sink...it was NASTY!!! Pictures attached below showing proof. While check in was easy and the gentleman who helped check me in was great, the cleaning crew needs assistance and record keeping. At 7:55 AM, I had housekeeping trying to get into the room while I was in the shower. Then once out, at 8:15 AM a Housekeeping Supervisor knocked and asked when I was leaving. Checkout is not until 12:00 PM and I only stayed one night, yet before 8:00 AM I was being asked if they could come clean. Was concerning of their record keeping and asking guest when they were leaving. Will NOT stay here again!!!

Dear Owner thank you for this location ok let me explain, for the last 5 years our couples group has stayed here for New Year eve, let's start with the front desk ms.Gladys is beyond wonderful and mr.forney (agm) is also beyond wonderful now due to the fact that the husband's are all prior veterans and now we are first responders so check in are different time your agm made sure we were good house keeping is excellent. A few considerations: 1. This new year eve the young lady that working with Forney was rude and to a point disrespectful but it was brought to ms.glady attention. 2.The breakfast if possible need beef and turkey as a option. 3. Mr.Forney was thinking about retiring please 🙏 do whatever is possible to keep him and ms Gladys they are the heart of this location ❤️ 4. If possible may we asked if Homewood have a discount program for veterans and First responders. Again thank you for a great staff Chief Robertson

One night stay in king suite. Suite door lock did not work as well as the tub drain was clogged🤢. Also, there was not enough linens provided... This first impression was not great.

I had a reservation at this hotel and, unfortunately, was unable to arrive due to a medical emergency involving my young child. Our family physician sent us to urgent care, and from there my child was rushed to the emergency room. I have documentation from both urgent care and the ER to support this. As a result, I did not return home until many hours after checkout time and was traveling from New Jersey. I had purchased travel insurance and a partial refund option specifically because my children have special needs. Before taking any further steps, I contacted Expedia for guidance. Two Expedia agents attempted to reach the hotel on my behalf but received no answer. I then requested the hotel’s direct number and called myself. When I reached the hotel, I explained that all three of my traveling companions had bacterial pneumonia and that one had been hospitalized. I was not demanding a refund and was open to rescheduling, even if it meant paying a higher rate. I simply wanted to explore possible options or, at the very least, understand the hotel’s position so I could proceed appropriately through my insurance. The response I received was dismissive and lacking empathy. I was told that I “should have called yesterday from the hospital.” Regardless of the outcome, a more professional and compassionate response would have been appropriate, especially given the circumstances. Shortly afterward, Expedia attempted to call the hotel again and again received no answer. This trip was meant to be meaningful, as we were traveling to meet family members we had recently discovered through DNA testing. While I understand that refunds may not always be possible, the manner in which this situation was handled was disappointing. The lack of responsiveness and professionalism fell far below expectations. I chose this hotel primarily because it offered an indoor pool for my children and was outside the busy DC area. Based on this experience, I would not stay here again, nor would I choose this property or brand in the future.
