Only had the see through curtains. Toilet, bathroom floor, counter area by microwave had obviously not been cleaned. Whatever crud was on the floor was also on one of the towels. Must smell. Ironing board had mold on it. Carpet stain plentiful. Breakfast... the prepackaged food was fine. Anything that had to be cooked was not. Stay somewhere reputable. Not here.

I read the reveiws and thought it might be a nice hotel. But they had Horrible Customer Service and care for their guest! I booked this hotel through Priceline and contacted the hotel the morning of our check in since we would be checking in after leaving Kings Dominion around midnight. The Manager said he would put my name down so they WOULD NOT CANCEL my room. He sounded like he really had no care either way and I made sure to confirm with him that I would be there just after Midnight a second time. And he said that was fine.
After a long 4+ hour drive and being at Kings Dominion all day my family arrived at the hotel only to be told that no one put my name down and they had no rooms available. That is so unacceptable on every level! I debated on booking another hotel but Since it was after Midnight I would have had to book a hotel online which would not help my situation since check in is after 11 at most hotels. Most of the other hotels had bad reviews and roaches so instead of driving from hotel to hotel to find one with rooms available at a decent price we decided it wasn’t worth the hassle and decided to drive home the long 5 hour drive. I contacted the hotel again just moments ago to express my feelings about the situation, and spoke with a man who had zero care. No apology, no care and even though he sounded like the same person I talked to the day before he said he wasn’t the manager and just made uh huh comments. We definitely won’t book this hotel again and would not recommend it due to poor customer care.

We have been coming to the VA state fair for over 10 years now to exhibit livestock. I was excited to see the Garner took over the La Quinta as it needed an upgrade. We booked a room for a one night stay over a week ago and got a call the day we arrived that they did not have a room for us. That was okay as it is easy to overbook. I later called to ask for confirmation to be sent to me that we will NOT be charged for the room since it is no fault of our own that we had to stay in another hotel. I was told by the night shift employee that we would not be charged and there was no need to send a confirmation “that’s not something we do.” I woke up this morning to a $130 charge to my account, ironically enough to the room we did not stay in and had been told by the employee that this would not happen. I understand that this is fixable, but the principle of being brushed off this employee was disrespectful. A nice lady was able to correct this mistake who was the oncoming day shifter. I appreciate her for working with us to refund the charge. Overall, being brushed off then charged is not okay.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The overall experience was excellent, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Everyone was courteous and professional, which made our stay very pleasant.
A special mention goes to Mr. Mirza Ali, who was exceptionally helpful throughout our stay. His warm attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to assist with anything we needed truly stood out. He made the entire experience much smoother and more enjoyable.
I highly recommend this hotel for its hospitality and great service, and I am especially grateful to Mr. Mirza Ali for his outstanding support.
