Beautiful hotel but some of the smaller details that make a hotel great weren't there. Sticky doors, for example, that don't open and close properly. Over priced food that isn't seasoned. Even something a simple as wings: fried well, no seasoning. Fries? Crispy, no salt. Nuances that can be annoying, especially when stacked inside the same hotel stay.
Nice staff though.

Upon check-in, we were assigned the wrong room. We specifically booked accommodations with two beds for three guests, yet were placed in a room with only one king bed. This immediately created an inconvenience and should have been corrected at the front desk without issue.
Additionally, the room was not properly stocked. We did not have an adequate number of towels and washcloths for the number of guests. When we contacted the front desk, we were told additional items would be brought to the room; however, they never arrived. We had to follow up again the next morning, only to be told that it was “policy” to provide only two towels, which is unreasonable given there are three occupants.
To make matters worse, we were also told we were not allowed to have three people in a room that includes a pullout sofa, which is both confusing and contradicts the purpose of such accommodations.
The most concerning issue was the lack of professionalism from the front desk clerk. She was rude, dismissive, and completely uninterested in resolving our concerns. When we requested a corporate contact number, we were incorrectly told that one does not exist. Instead, we were given a manager’s number. After reaching out at approximately 8:30 AM, we were told we would receive a callback. It is now 10:40 AM, and no follow-up has been made.
This experience reflects a serious breakdown in both customer service and basic hospitality standards.

Attendant at front desk was rude lacked hospitality and when I asked for a manager she replied- there is not one! Save your money- go to candlewood suites or hampton inn. Family is on way - in town or else I would cancel it. I will never book it here again!

Pool had a bandaid in it, no bleachy smell had a lot of yellow patches. Seemed very dirty. I could not attempt to use, as I am immunocompromised.
I called the front desk from the room, it said line doesn’t exist. I also called from my cell, that wouldn’t go through as well. No way to get in touch w the hotel, if for some reason my family needed to contact me, if they could not get in touch with me.
I’ve been to many low budget hotels, this cheasapeak holiday inn was def not what I expected.
Breakfast options were decent, coffee was good.
The girl at the front desk ignored our questions and or presence. Until she was done w her conversation, with her earbuds in. This was on several occasions.
I expected way more from a IHG property.
I was originally placed in room 123, it smelled like onions as if someone was eating in the room. It’s the only room on that end of the hallway. It’s directly next to the facilities and kitchen area. I pull the sheets back and a partial potato chip fell to the carpet. I was disgusted. The rooms need to be updated and cleaned well. I was moved to 103 a handicapped room. Again it didn’t smell the best. The bathroom wasn’t what you would expect and I wasn’t comfortable in the room overall. FYI… If you want breakfast, go early before the construction workers clean them out.
