    Doing our stay at Chesapeake-Norfolk With the Help of Rashawnda Cowell( Asst. General Manager) I was so grateful for her to help me to get us set up in her facility after I made a mistake of choosing the wrong one! I have to say it took several times going back and forth on the phone and they kept hanging up on us that She continually kept working to make it work out...She made sure we were happy, and with that been said Yes we were and Thank you for everything!!! I will definitely be staying there again... Thank you All ,keep up the good team work! Mamie J. God Bless you and your staff.

    We loved this room. It was the king suite,the bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. The shower felt great,it had body wash,etc. They had plenty of choices for breakfast and the man at the front desk was friendly. We will definitely be staying in IHG from now on and we will choose this hotel when we're in the area

    We initially check in for 2-3 nights of stay while visiting families and friends in the area. very impressed on the design and cleanliness of the common areas when we checked in.. bonus was the friendliness and hospitality of Shayna at the reception. Our plans of short stay change due to some circumstances and the receptionist Elijah was able to extend our stay with patience and smile. we told him about the Tub situation which they really took that as a potential opportunity for improvement. -⭐️ROOM⭐️ the hotel rooms are clean when we checked in, although there are few missed on hotel renovation like the bath tub damage, non working charging ports, broken clock, and bathroom bottom door is falling apart. The beds are really comfortable, fluffy and clean so it is a good balance on all the flaws. +⭐️ STAFF⭐️ Thank you for the housekeeping that is super sweet and professional. Kudos to your front office staff. I may have to suggest to improve the Breakfast service a bit. As I cannot recommend this for a long term stay if the breakfast is the same dried out sausage everyday with a bit sloppy maintenance(check the photos) The bfast area is really new with Costa Coffee automatic coffee maker so I hope this won’t go to waste and continues to compliment the over all image of the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel for short term stays and affordability!

    ONE OF THE WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCES I’VE EVER HAD After a 12-hour drive, my wife and I checked into this Holiday Inn completely exhausted. The man at the front desk spoke so quietly we could hardly hear him and showed no warmth or personality, but we let it slide…until we got to our room and found a huge cockroach crawling on the wall and ceiling. We took pictures and went to the front desk, and the employee didn’t seem to care at all. No apology, no concern, just said he’d move us to another room. When we asked to speak with a manager, he told us we couldn’t until Monday. I understand that bugs can happen in any hotel, it’s not necessarily the cockroach that bothered me, but the lack of reaction, action, and reassurance. I expected someone to take it seriously, show motivation, and make us feel like the situation was being addressed. Anyone in the hotel or customer service industry should know that travelers arriving after long hours on the road need to feel relaxed and stress-free. Staff should be friendly, clearly spoken, and empowered to take initiative and make things right on the spot, not pass everything off to management days later. We decided to leave and stay at the Fairfield Marriott down the road, and the difference was night and day. Friendly, responsive staff, spotless rooms, and genuine hospitality. Holiday Inn still hasn’t refunded us, and the lack of care says a lot about the management and their training standards. I’ve stayed in hotels all over the world and have never had such a disappointing experience.
