We had a wonderful experience at Homewood Suites in Charlottesville! We had a long drive and arrived an hour before check-in and the staff were so sweet and accommodating letting us check-in early so my cranky toddler could lay down for a nap. The beds were extremely comfortable and having a full kitchen was such a nice perk! The room was fully stocked with anything you needed! 10/10 experience. The breakfast was amazing as well. We’ll definitely be coming back when we come back to Charlottesville!

We had to bring our daughter to UVA childrens hospital due to urgent medical concerns. We didnt know what to do about my husband and I not staying the night at the hospital.until the social worker at UVA recommended and paid for the stay for the last 4 days at this wonderful establishment! It was comfortable and secure 😌 it felt like a home away from home .They had a great breakfast selection and very comfortable bed and it was very convent to get to and from the hospital so we didnt spend all our time driving. It was quiet and clean the front desk staff were wonderful and kind the room had dishes and its own ice makers stove freezer dining area of course a flat screen tv and the king size bed you just layed down and felt ur body relax into the very clean bed.Thank u so much for the amazing stay please if u have to stay in the hospital at UVA or in the charollettesville area I fully reccomend this hotel.Even the music was inviting when entering the building. If anything had to change i would say and this is being nit picky maybe use a air fresher in the elevator for some mildrew smell due to the amazing amenities like the pool they have .I didnt get to use it but I wish I did I was just to tired!defintley a amazing stay.

Location was adequate. The service was nonexistent. We arrived at 4pm to check in. Parking lot was mostly empty. We had had our reservation for several months. Front desk checked us in, did not direct us in the direction of our room, but rather allowed us to wander a couple of halls (due to a lack of directional signage) looking for the hallway with our room. This was the least of the problems with our stay. Our room was on the first floor, next to the main road. It wasn't excessively loud but one could definitely hear the cars driving past. Similarly the walls are thin and you could hear neighboring occupants, even when speaking in a normal voice. The room was updated with modern furnishings, but the layout was an afterthought with the TV facing neither the bed nor the couch. It was facing a makeshift desk that had the occupant sitting in the kitchenette. Finally, the room, for some very odd reason had a 20+ year old ceiling fan still installed. It made the space feel more like a motel than a Hilton. The neighboring room's occupants were up before 6am on a Sunday, almost yelling, and going in and out multiple times; each time allowing their door to slam, so that they could chain smoke on the stairs outside of the side exit. The entire facility and it's clientele leave much to be desired. I could look past most of the above had the rate for our one night stay been comparable to it's worth. We paid over $400 for the night. Shameful.
