Stayed tor three nights.
Positives: Nice location, easy and free outdoor parking, spacious one bedroom suite, with mini fridge and microwave, very clean rooms with 1 and a half bathrooms. Like all Hilton Garden Inns, it’s very dog friendly and breakfast is not included but there is a lobby restaurant for fast food.
Negatives: The suite’s sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable to sleep on and free internet access was erratic.

We stayed here for 2 nights with our toddler in a king suite and enjoyed our stay! It was very quiet and we loved that our room overlooked a small lake. Would definitely recommend staying here!

My favorite place to stay in Charlottesville. One of the only nice hotels on this side of town. It sits on a beautiful pond with walking trails and open green spaces. You could walk out of your room and take a walk on the trail around the pond. The rooms are well appointed, I appreciate the light blue furniture with natural stone counters. Just a nice, peaceful, beautiful location in a beautiful city

I had a family emergency, and had drove all night from Pennsylvania. I was told, I would have to pay for early check in. And then she said it could not be guaranteed. The way Kelli spoke to me was rude, and I felt unwelcome. From the moment I walked through the door, she was unpleasant. She even told me there were no upgrades-clearly a lie. There were available upgrades, and I actually ended up upgrading to $25 on the app. Upgrades for a King with a view were only $10 (there were many available). I waited from 9 am until 3 pm. At exactly 3 pm she notified me that the room was ready. She had a very cold demeanor, and it was very obvious that she was waiting until exactly 3 pm. to be spiteful. Customer service and friendliness has gone down hill at this location.
The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. My phone service (Verizon) was very weak, as was wifi. Heat/air conditioning is moldy. It didn't bother me as much; but my partner is sensitive and was triggered.

There was mold coating the air conditioning unit in my room. I had an allergic reaction immediately upon entering the room due to said mold. I ended up checking out and into another hotel when the front desk staffer tried to downplay the mold issue until I showed him a photograph of the A/C unit to which he responded by offering to reimburse my stay. He was kind & handled the situation well, but until they seriously remediate this hotel, I would not advise staying here.
