- K9KLK 90Apr 21, 20265.0We are staying here three nights on a trip through VA. This resort has it all and we could stay here for so much fun. (We are touring gardens in the area.) The outdoor pool is large with many lap lanes. There are several walking paths. They have tennis and squash courts; a lovely golf course and a nice fitness center. Our room open to the grassy area near the pond. It’s beautiful and relaxing! Service is excellent and food delicious. Be sure to look for the free coffee machine (with fun options for hot cocoa as well) on the 2nd floor.

- JPJonathan PMar 30, 20261.0A twenty year guest’s last visit. We have been coming to Boar’s Head for two decades. This is not a review written in the heat of a bad night. The first room had a bug on the floor. My wife reported it. The front desk was dismissive, offered housekeeping instead of an apology, and misidentified the insect. We moved rooms. The second room had a missing drawer pull, a dust ruffle on the floor, and a bathtub without a drain cover. Not hidden defects. Things anyone walking through would see. Then there was the dresser with four exposed screws serving as its front leg waiting to attack nearby toes. And a toilet not bolted to the floor. I emailed Mr. Xavier with management (emails aren’t public…I wonder why). The first reply treated the insect as the central complaint. It was not. The second reply offered a complimentary night valid for one year. A follow-up quietly revised that to nine months. The attention to detail really is apparent in every interaction. The Omni and Keswick are both better options. We will not be back.
