Hilton Garden Inn was an overall okay stay. The room was comfortable enough and had the basics you’d expect, and the property itself was generally clean and well-kept. Check-in was smooth, and the location was convenient for what we needed.
That said, nothing really stood out as exceptional. A few small details could’ve been better—service felt a bit hit-or-miss, and some areas of the hotel could use a refresh to match the brand’s usual standard.
Not a bad stay, just not particularly memorable. Decent option if you need something reliable for a night or two.

The hallways smelled like a mix of marijuana and urine. The room itself did not have a stench, but as soon as you opened the door from the room to the hallway, the smell was very strong and nauseating. There is a lot of noise at all hours of the day and night because of how busy the street is as well as sounds from the nearby airport. For a single night stay, it's not the worst. There is no free breakfast. There is not even an elevator to the top floor so guests who are assigned a room there will have to walk up the stairs - I couldn't believe it.

I called to make a reservation for two nights while I attended my father's funeral at Arlington National Cemetery. I told the lady taking the reservation that I would be driving in from Texas. When I received my confirmation email for my room at the bottom it says the room was non-refundable and that there would be a $48 self parking fee per night. Fees for parking were never disclosed at the time of making the reservation but I did state that I would be driving in. When I checked in, the manager at the hotel stated that the room would have been refundable if I wanted to. By this time I'm already here and don't have another hotel room to stay in. I called the customer service number for their corporate and the lady says unfortunately because I received an email in advance disclosing the fees for parking that there was nothing they could do about it. I had to repeat to her three times that it said in the confirmation email that it was not refundable to which she stated something to the effect of, "oh we could have refunded it anyway because of the failure to disclose parking fees.". What a horrible way of doing business in a world of disclosures they failed to do so in advance and made me as the customer feel that I had no other option because if I had tried canceling or modifying the reservation that I would not receive a refund. The whole experience of dealing with these people was unprofessional on many fronts and I was called a liar twice by two different people. I would recommend that you ask every question possible if you ever stay with a Hilton Hotel.
In response to Hilton's request for me to call I did so immediately upon receiving their reply. I was told to call back tomorrow and the lady tried hanging up on me before I could ask her a question. I asked her are you fixing to hang up on me and she stated goodbye. I asked again if she was fixing to hang up on me and with an attitude she stated well not if you're not ready... Again horrible customer service.... Unbelievable attitude.

Let’s start with the handicap parking situation. I’m going to generously assume there was a language barrier between myself and the front desk associate, because I was told there was handicap parking available. Plot twist: there wasn’t. Not on the level that was open, anyway.
When you first enter the parking garage, the aesthetic can best be described as “urban survival documentary.” If you know, you know. Not exactly the welcoming vibe you expect after paying hotel prices.
The room itself? Basic. Clean, yes. Spectacular? Absolutely not. It gave “we tried” energy. The lobby, however, is nicely set up — which is adorable considering you won’t actually be sleeping much to enjoy the rest of the stay.
If you’re someone who enjoys the soothing sounds of jackhammers in the middle of the night, this is your paradise. The noise level is unreal. And the beds? Imagine sleeping directly on determination and concrete. Firm doesn’t even begin to cover it.
Don’t bother asking for extra pillows — housekeeping clocks out like Cinderella and apparently takes all comfort with them.
To be fair, if you’re staying one night, you’ll survive. But anything longer than that? I wouldn’t suggest it unless sleep, accessibility, and basic comfort are low on your priority list.

I do not recommend this hotel. Only thing good about it was the location. None one the employees are friendly. The water is cold no matter of showering in the morning or at night. They will charge you for parking and breakfast and fight you on everything. We booked our room through trivago. We saw that it was a different room price for the breakfast. Ok, that's fine, we booked the room with the additional cost for breakfast. The first person we asked, he tells us we don't have that included, he doesnt see it in the computer. "Go ask him" he says. The next person gave us our breakfast vouchers. Go and get the breakfast and now are told it is just for 2... we have 4 people on our booking. We are told we can get to go containers and load them up for everyone but we cant eat downstairs with our whole family or we will be charged more. Next morning im back at the front desk, showing That I made my booking with 2 adults, 2 kids. First man we talked to said we should have been lucky to get the meal voucher for 2, one room is one voucher. No. This is not what we booked for. We asked for the manager. She simply states "oh, you have 4 people, you should have meals for 4." She adjusted our vouchers and was the only nice employee. The shop is expensive. The rooms are small. If your looking for a place to stay that is close to your destination. This may be your place but on the other hand, there are several other hotels in this area too. Book elsewhere
