$30 for parking, no complimentary breakfast (only a $20 breakfast buffet, which is greedy and absurd business practice). Staff are very good and helpful, rooms are nice enough, though good luck if you happen to have a group of school kids above you as I did before moving. It's convenient to Courthouse and the metro, which is why I was here, and rates are decent for the area, but you can get better value elsewhere if you're not particular about which metro station you're using.

This will be a longer review than usual, but I hope you'll read through to the end. It explains why the Hilton Garden Inn Arlington is an excellent choice to stay at—beyond just being a very nice hotel.
I was in the area to attend a funeral at Arlington National Cemetery and needed accommodations nearby, so I booked at the Hilton Garden Inn Arlington. I've been a Hilton Honors member since 2005 and have always enjoyed consistently smooth experiences at Hilton properties. Since the service was scheduled for early afternoon, we requested an early check-in to give us time to prepare. The staff went above and beyond: they coordinated with the head of housekeeping to have a room ready for us. When we arrived at noon, everything was spotless and waiting.
The real reason for this detailed review, though, happened at checkout. I accidentally left my toilet kit in the room. Once I returned home, I called the hotel, and the team made the process incredibly easy and stress-free. I first spoke with Mr. Adam Shewan-Gezaw, the Housekeeping Manager, who quickly located the item and explained the return options. Then Mr. Garry Reynolds, Front Desk Supervisor, followed up with an email that included additional contact details for Mr. Shewan-Gezaw, Ms. Joanne Solis (Housekeeping Supervisor), and Mr. Dimitri Dittimus (Guest Services Agent). Mr. Dittimus even reached out to me personally to provide updates on the progress.
Everyone treated the matter with genuine care and urgency, even though the kit contained nothing of significant monetary value—just a few items that hold personal, sentimental meaning to me. Their attentiveness and teamwork were truly impressive. I can't thank the entire Hilton team enough for going the extra mile.
In the end, sometimes any hotel will suffice. But when you encounter conscientious, customer-focused people like this, you know you'll be in excellent hands. Highly recommend.

My family and I stayed here in November to attend a funeral at Arlington National Cemetery. Location was great for what we needed. We did a group dinner in one of their banquet rooms and its was just ok. I thought maybe there would be more to the room but it was very simple and plain. The food we ordered for the dinner was just ok. I had to remind the staff of the drinks we ordered, ask them about one of the dishes that typically would be a pasta dish but it was missing the pasta and make sure they didn’t start cleaning up before our scheduled time. The next morning our group was supposed to have breakfast with our rooms and we were told it wasn’t included. Thankfully the front desk helped us out but some of our guest were told that they couldn’t brink breakfast to their rooms. There was also a couple of our guest that were handicap and when they got to their rooms the toilet was doctored with duct tape and there wasn’t a handicap-able shower. The ac unit in the rooms was also very loud. Overall it was a good stay for the short amount of time we needed but I probably wouldn’t book this place again. The price of rooms and then the amount you have to pay to use their garage is enough for me to go somewhere else.

Standard Garden Inn name and great service but in an atypical downtown location.
It’s so new they were still unloading furniture and the carpet had not been inspected yet I think, when it was installed.
Strong recommendation.

3 hours and I am 2 rooms in. 1st room, the bed had an obscene amount of white power on the sheets and comforter. Reminded me of baking soda or borax which made me think of bed bugs. Room 2, fridge didn't work and we had immunotherapy meds to refrigerate. AC is loud and obnoxious when kicking on and off, shower head has almost 0 water pressure and when you try to change the setting, it shuts off. The tub was backing up while I took my 10 min shower and the ceiling looks like they cleaned that with the same rag they used on the floor. Ceiling had hair and mildew on it. I am very, very disappointed. I can guarantee, when I return to DC next month, I will not be staying here.
