Stayed as compensated night due to flight issues and the room was honestly mediocre. Heat/AC didn't seem to work, toilet didn't flush and the TV remote was broken

Lively because of the military presence. Got to my room on first stay, was given a bad room. Condom in toilet, bed unmade. Gave 4 stars instead of 3 because the room was slightly upgraded and I was given breakfast. Commendable

I am a Marriott regular but I tried IHG to see the experience since I was given benefits by my credit card company. But the whole experience leaves a little to desire. The staff were rude. When you get stuff from their marketplace I got yelled at even before leaving the marketplace to pay for it. I mean why yell? The wifi was extremely choppy and I was on a business trip. I couldn’t work. They gave me a coupon to get a drink and made me feel every bit uncomfortable asking for the drink at the bar. I won’t come back.

I recently stayed here on a business trip and will probably choose to stay elsewhere if I find myself in the Crystal City area again. I’ll start with the pros: my room was clean, staff was friendly, there’s a Starbucks in the building, and the location felt safe and is pretty convenient/walkable to a Whole Foods, a CVS, and some restaurants. The cons: the hotel is in desperate need of a glow-up. The rooms have seen better days - the headboard on my bed was very worn and had a sticky stain on it, there had clearly been a leak in my room at one point that was covered up with a bad patch job, the carpet was very stained, and the wallpaper was peeling off the walls in places. The elevators were tired and working too hard - they were extremely slow, stopped on random floors even when no one pressed the button, and I prayed I made it off without a rescue mission every time I entered one of them. There are many options in the Reagan airport area and my personal preference would be to pay slightly more per night for a hotel with better upkeep.
