I had issues with my room it was dirty and there was thermostat issues. However, the pillows were amazing and lofty and the bed was very comfortable. The laughing hyena lady working at the front desk was super annoying.

Rooms (we had a potomac view suite in the 5th floor) are great but small, but I suppose that is to be expected in Alexandra/DC waterfront

We stayed at Hotel Indigo Old Town Alexandria from 12/29–12/30 and had a very disappointing experience due to damage to our vehicle in the hotel’s parking garage.
We paid $42 to park in the garage that the hotel directs guests to use. The next morning, we found three traffic cones placed on top of our truck, which resulted in scratches and paint damage to the roof. We immediately reported the incident to hotel management and filed a police report.
Despite acknowledging what happened, hotel management repeatedly stated that there was “nothing the hotel can do,” citing the garage being managed by a third-party company and ultimately labeling the situation a “legal matter.” The hotel refused to offer even a basic customer service gesture or goodwill credit, even though the damage occurred on hotel property during our stay.
Fortunately, the manager of the parking garage was far more helpful and agreed to comp the parking immediately stating it was “the least they could do”, but the hotel staff lacked the ability to show the same response and customer service.
We are frequent IHG guests and routinely choose their properties when traveling. Unfortunately, this experience—and how it was handled—has significantly impacted our perception of both Hotel Indigo and the IHG brand. A small effort to show care for guests would have gone a long way.
We hope future guests do not experience the same lack of support.
