I would not stay at the Holiday Inn Carlisle again. There are no convenient amenities included — no free parking, no free breakfast, and it really feels like the hotel is trying to nickel-and-dime you at every turn. The bathrooms were in poor condition, the beds were extremely uncomfortable with almost no support, and overall the rooms did not feel cared for. The staff didn’t seem interested in helping or ensuring a good stay — it was more like they just wanted to get you checked in and checked out as quickly as possible. I’ll gladly pay a little more next time and stay somewhere else. This place just isn’t worth it.

Terrible experience. Rooms are dated, service is subpar with rude and no accountability attitude from front desk supervisor with head phones in ear. Waited over 10 minutes for someone to come to front desk to be checked in. No apologies or thanking for waiting. No sign present indicating had to step away. Only plus is close to Eisenhower station and nearby places to eat. The manager never followed up as promised.

I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. Initially, the front desk staff was friendly, but the service quickly declined due to several issues. First, there was an error with my billing. My card was run twice—once for $291.48 and again for $441.48. The amount I was supposed to be charged was only $291.48. The second charge is still pending, and despite multiple calls over the past three days, I have been told by both the hotel and my bank to continue waiting for it to be resolved. When I contacted the front desk this morning, the manager was rude and dismissive when I inquired about the situation. They have not answered my recent calls, which is unprofessional. Additionally, the room had a refrigerator that did not work and emitted a terrible odor. Housekeeping only made up the bed without changing the linens when they entered the room. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel due to poor customer service, billing issues, and subpar room conditions.

a friend and i stayed on october 9th, we drove from new york to go to a concert. check in was fine, everything was fine until the next morning. check out is at 12pm, my friend & i were trying to figure out what time we were going to leave then we heard someone try to open our door. luckily for us, i had put the top lock on the door before we went to sleep. an employee was trying to get into our room, there was no knock, no introduction before coming in such as “house keeping”. when i opened the door, i was met with a female employee holding a green folder, there were no garbage bags or anything that would signal possibly house keeping or even room service . she asked if my friend & i were checking out that day to which i said yes. being that we were still half asleep from the night before, we were completely shocked & confused as to why someone would be trying to enter our room to see when we were leaving, again check out is at 12pm & the incident happened around 9am. i went downstairs looking for a manager when assistant manager Riti said i could not speak with the manager & she would pass down the information & offered me a bottle of water. no explanation of why their employee would be trying to enter my room before check out. my friend & i immediately packed our things after this & checked out to leave. i do not recommend this hotel to anyone, the elevator buttons were also broken & management couldn’t have seemed to care less about their staff attempting to come into our room. what if we didn’t put the extra lock on the door, she came into our room then what would’ve happened next? was she trying to see if we had went to breakfast & was trying to see if there were any valuables she could take? will never stay at another holiday inn again in my life DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL !!!!!! i see the response from the owner and again, the staff DID NOT KNOCK on the door, I know what a knock sounds like and nobody had knocked, it was NOT room service, as the woman had ZERO cleaning supplies, all she had was a green folder in hand. I also tried to pay at check in & was told to wait until check out, so saying staff came to see if the room was vacant because people leave early without checking out is very manipulative & still does not offer resolution. riti had offered me a bottle of pure life water as an apology which is unacceptable. we are two young women staying at a hotel & when someone had tried to enter, management acted like they could’ve cared less & riti did not want to give me her name when i asked at check out. if check out is not until 12pm, instead of “coming to see if the room was vacant” why not call since all of your rooms have phones? i also tried calling front desk after the incident happened before walking down to speak with someone and nobody answered the phones. instead of leaving a manipulative response, how about taking some accountability & admitting your staff was WRONG for trying to enter before checkout & management did a bad job at handling the situation. even more reason for someone to never stay at this establishment again. i hope everyone who considers booking this hotel reads the reviews before staying, especially young women looking for a place to stay for the night, if you have any issues, concerns or complaints, management & the people who are responding to these reviews don’t care about what happens to you or how you feel about their staff. please think twice before booking this hotel
