Stayed here for MAGfest and it made the sting of not getting a hotel near the convention center much gentler. The happy hour from 5:30-7 is wonderful, getting two free drinks was an amazing treat and made us feel very spoiled. The pool and hot tub are very nice, the rooms are very spacious even at the tiniest size, and the staff were all very attentive. The proximity to public transit was awesome. Odd positive but the elevators were incredible, always arriving fast and there was almost always one on the ground floor. The free breakfast is actually very good for a hotel breakfast. My only complaints are the beds, kind of small for a double and the mattresses were pretty hard. Not enough to bother me, but something to consider. Will stay in the Embassy Suites in the future for sure.

The lifeguard on duty Saturday night 1/10/2026, had the worst attitude when my grandson and some of his friends came to swim for his birthday. The look she gave was a look of disgust. You could tell she was racist. Even two women who were there before us noticed her demeanor change when we entered the pool (we are black, the lifeguard is white). Her behavior was acceptable. Also, the guy at the front desk doesn't have very good costumer service skills. He gave one word answers and seemed as if questions annoyed him. Please train your people to treat others as they want to be treated.

Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was disappointing. I did not receive the room type I had specifically booked and confirmed in advance. When I raised this issue, the staff showed little willingness to help or even try to find a solution. There was no effort to offer an alternative, an explanation, or any form of support to resolve the situation. Instead, I was left feeling ignored and unsupported, which is not what you expect from a hotel that claims to value guest satisfaction. Mistakes can happen, but what truly matters is how they are handled. In this case, the lack of flexibility and empathy from the staff made the experience frustrating. I would not recommend this hotel if you expect professionalism or customer-oriented service.

UPDADE: I had a very disappointing and distressing experience with this hotel! While I appreciate the polite tone, I would like to clarify an important point for anyone reading this: the billing issue was not resolved by the hotel, and my money was never refunded. The charges made without my consent, combined with the refusal to offer any flexibility despite my documented emergency situation, had very real consequences for me — my bank card was blocked while I was abroad, without identification and without access to funds. Acknowledging that “a different stance could have been taken” after the fact does not change the outcome I experienced as a guest. Empathy and professionalism matter most when a customer is vulnerable, not only in hindsight. I stand by my review and my decision not to recommend this hotel based on how the situation was handled in practice, not in words !!! I booked a room here for four nights. Unfortunately, while I was at the train station, my handbag was stolen and I was left without any identification documents. I was on vacation in the United States at the time, which made the situation even more difficult. After realizing I had no documents, I extended my stay for one additional night at the hotel where I had stayed the previous night and paid using my phone. The next day, I went to my country’s consulate to explain my situation and apply for a temporary travel document. I contacted this hotel to inform them that I could no longer travel to Washington, DC, because without identification I could not check in. I kindly asked for a free cancellation due to these exceptional circumstances. Not only was my request refused, but the following day I discovered on my bank statement that the hotel had charged my account four times. This led to extremely difficult days for me. After reporting the issue, my bank blocked my card, leaving me abroad, without identification documents and without access to cash. While I am grateful that I eventually managed to resolve this very unpleasant situation, I was shocked by the lack of empathy, understanding, and professionalism shown by the hotel staff. On top of that, I feel I was financially taken advantage of. This experience caused me a great deal of stress, sadness, and helplessness. I would not recommend this hotel based on how they handled a customer in a vulnerable situation.

I had a lovely stay here this month. Location is perfect when visiting DC, it's right across the metro (King st, blue & yellow lines), if you're visiting pentagon city mall (both blue/yellow) & national gallery (yellow) both accessed without having to change to another line. Amtrak station also across the st. Walking distance to all restaurants/cute shops on king st, if you don't want to walk, free king st trolley runs from 11-11 daily across from the hotel. Parking just like everyone said, it is VERY tight. $38/night, not cheap but lot better than other hotels that charges more & it's self parking! in & out all you want. I was worried about full lot but went on wkend & even though it was crowded it is multi level so you would still be able to find a spot. Reason it's so tight is, there is this weired metal column that is in seriously every other spot trying to squeez your car bet those columns can be tricky. Staff from front desk, housekeeping and waitstaff are all so friendly and efficient and that made my stay so pleasant. It's atrium style so noise does carry and when you're in living room area you can hear everything, people talking in hallway, kids running down the hallway but didn't bother me so much as bedroom area is in the back & lot quieter there. I had the room w/ memorial view which was so relaxing & overlooked metro station, hearing train whistle to look & see amtrak arriving was kind of fun & nice, something about that train whistle is just so relaxing. Free breakfast was wonderful, good variety & tasty. there is made to order omelette station, as well as 5:30-7;30pm 1 free drink/snacks. I highly recom and I would definitely come back to stay here.
