Your policy as you say, "Zip code less than 50 miles are unable to book at your hotel." That is a very vague statement considering 84404 is quite wide that goes from less than 50 miles to well over 50 miles. For instance, for my physical address to your location it is 50.2 miles apart. From our location to the Maverick center is 49.5 miles. So being over the 50 mile threshold what does that mean? That should be reassessed for validity, good business practice, and timeliness of notification. If you do not want to have business from anyone that is willing to pay for a room at your facility then it is fine, but then adequate notification or flagging through any means of booking should be in place. And it appears that this has happened to others... would be worth taking a look at. It is not appealing to know there is a hotel that will not accommodate someone who is willing to do business and also supports the Hilton brand. --Break-- Had booked this hotel month ago to have lodging for a concert in the area. Today is the day of the concert and was about to check in and received a notification that my reservation was to be canceled. This is due to the hotel policy that zip codes withing 50 miles of hotel will not be able to stay at hotel. So issues with this are 1. This is not readily identified at time of booking. 2. Hotel did not notify me until the DAY OF check in. This is unacceptable and an extreme inconvenience as my plans for this event have changed as I am scrambling to book another hotel as I do not want to drive the 35+ miles from my home north of Ogden.
