- JMJenn MuirNov 2, 20251.0Arrived at the Cotton Tree at midnight with my 2 preteen children to check into my room that I had reserved and paid online only to be treated like a trespasser. The night clerk was rude and short with us. I was very disappointed but tired so we just went to our room and try to forget about it. However, we opened the door to our room, we found the floor was dirty, a used towel hanging in the bathroom and the mirrors had not been cleaned. I probably should have left and got a refund, but due to the late hour and rude front desk situation, we stayed. Breakfast the next morning was ok. I know it's just a continental breakfast but the breads were stale and the pancake machine ran out do batter which no one would attend to. Overall, not a great experience and I won't be back. I guess my advice would be to check in very early so you don't upset the night employee and bring cleaning supplies.
