I booked my room through Expedia. I use Expedia because I know before booking exactly what my stay will cost including taxes and fees. Best Western took my credit card upon checking in for "incidentals". They charged me an additional "lodge fee" without letting me know and without my knowledge. I only learned of the charge a couple of days late while checking my online credit card account. Very displeased that this happened and will take appropriate action if not refunded the fee.

We booked a room at Bryce View Lodge, and we were informed that due to low occupancy, our reservation had been upgraded to Ruby’s Inn. After reading that notice, we went to Ruby’s Inn and I told the staff member that we had originally booked Bryce View Lodge and asked if we were in the right place. However, she told us that this wasn’t the correct location and gave us a map with directions. We drove around for quite a while, and when we finally arrived at the place she directed us to, it turned out to be Bryce View Lodge — the first place we had gone to. Since I told her we had booked Bryce View Lodge, shouldn’t she have known about the upgrade and checked us in at Ruby’s Inn directly? We ended up having to move around unnecessarily, and when we tried to check in again, they said they couldn’t find our name, so we had to wait a long time. Even though we booked through Booking.com and showed our confirmation, it still wasn’t processed right away. We were very disappointed with the service.

We had a wonderful wonderful stay at the best Western ruby’s inn. The staff was incredible. They were friendly and they were helpful. The rooms were clean with good beds. The pool was wonderful and the hot tub also was great. But it was the staff that made it great. Jesus and a whole bunch of other people made us feel very at home. We had a lovely vacation seeing Bryce Canyon. I highly recommend the best western ruby’s inn!

Ruby's Inn could be amazing. It's in the perfect location, has an awesome gift shop and amenities. The problem we encountered, was the old dated rooms. They all felt a little dirty and run down. Also, the food in Bryce Canyon City is all really quite bad, especially the breakfast at Ruby's Inn. The restaurants owned by the same family are all overpriced and low quality. Fantastic location though, so it's a shame that the family who runs Bryce Canyon City and owns all of these businesses haven't put in the effort. If they did, it would be heaven on earth.
