Worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
- The rooms stink. It is a cross between wet dog, horse poop and pine needles. I tried to move to a different room but that one was also gross. this alone makes it not worth the stop but it gets worse.
- The rooms are old and not well maintained. So near the door (which has a gap) and window the room is freezing and in the second queen on the inside of the room it is blazing hot.
- The shower water temp fluctuates wildly from freezing to burning. you have to be quick or take a bath.
- the walls are so thin that as the guests in the rooms next to me used the toilet or shower it was so loud as to wake me up and keep me from sleep. Conversations go right through the wall. there is absolutely no insulation between rooms.
- The salad bar is disgusting. Fruits and vegetables are clearly not washed. For example, the mushrooms still have the poop dirt they are grown in on them. Some of tomoatoes were old and starting to rot. everything is from a can, including the soup.
Definitely not worth the money. stay elsewhere, this place is horrible

We stayed at Ruby's Inn in Bryce City in April 2026. The rooms were large and accommodating with fridge, microwave and coffee maker, although dated decor. Connected to the main building is a large gift shop/convenience store, and a full service restaurant. The main building has an indoor swimming pool and hot tub that we did not use as it is not convenient if you are in one of the multiple single-story motel style buildings away from the main building. The complimentary breakfast was an excellent buffet that changed daily and our waiter David was so attentive and friendly. The gift shop was reasonably priced with great selection. The inn also has a general store with decent selection. The inn is conveniently located just a few minutes from Bryce Canyon National Park. It made it extremely easy to visit the park and return back to the inn for meals and then return to the park for sunset for stargazing. The inn itself has a very historic tie to the park and was opened in the early 1900s. I highly recommend this establishment. Keep in mind that park attendance is seasonal and much of the Bryce City attractions do not open until mid to late May.
We did have a slow draining issue with our shower tub and when we called the front desk about the issue, we were told to call back the next morning. We also noticed that one of the front desk lady was not friendly towards a tour guide who was trying to check in for his large group of tourists. We felt the front desk staff can use more training and be more professional and courteous towards customers. The slow draining issue was addressed quickly once we insisted the problem gets reported to the maintenance crew.
Overall we had a pleasant stay despite the issue with the drain and front desk personnel.
We had a wonderful stay at Ruby’s Inn Resort in Bryce Canyon City. My wife and I first stayed here on our honeymoon, and coming back 21 years later with our Family made the experience even more special. Somehow, it was even better than we remembered.
The whole resort has a warm, welcoming, family-friendly feel. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made everything feel personal, like true Southern Utah hospitality. We enjoyed the food, the pool, the gift shops, and the overall atmosphere of the property. It really feels like a family-owned resort that takes pride in giving guests a memorable experience.
The ATV tour was one of the highlights of our trip, and of course being so close to Bryce Canyon National Park made the stay even better. Between the hospitality, activities, scenery, and personal touch, Ruby’s Inn is a place we would gladly return to again. Highly recommend for families, couples, or anyone visiting Bryce Canyon.
Great value near Bryce Canyon — spacious rooms and friendly staff
We’re a French family of five with three children, and we had a very good stay at the Best Western Plus Ruby’s Inn.
The rooms are very spacious with comfortable beds. The decor is a bit old-school, but everything is clean and functional. The only downside is the air conditioning, which can be quite noisy — we ended up turning it off at night.
The staff at reception and throughout the hotel are very friendly and welcoming.
Breakfast is included and is a real plus. It’s a buffet with a good selection: scrambled eggs, French toast, bagels you can toast, coffee, and even hot chocolate with whipped cream for the kids — simple but very satisfying.
There is also a large indoor pool, which our kids really enjoyed, especially since it’s heated.
The hotel has a big parking area and overall feels like a “motel++” — much better than a standard motel, with a very good quality/price ratio.
Finally, the location is excellent, just about a 10-minute drive from Bryce Canyon National Park.
We highly recommend it!

Hotel was great for the location--literally at the gateway of Bryce Canyon. Before we arrived, they emailed a couple times with suggested activities and reservations we could make for experiences and excursions in the park. We took advantage of the horseback riding, and it was AMAZING (if a bit terrifying at times.) The breakfast was expansive--the largest hotel buffet I've seen in a long time. Be prepared for long lines at times, but if you're pressed, you can request to-go boxes and you can skip the line. Food was excellent. There are a LOT of rooms, so your room may be at the far side of the parking lot. Rooms are pretty standard, and we could hear our neighbors only occasionally. There are EV chargers sprinkled throughout the property, so you can charge overnight pretty easily. Service was great, rooms were standard, and the food was awesome! Definitely recommended for anyone coming to Bryce.
