- SSSFJun 13, 20265.0The hotel is right next to the Thermopolis State Park. We arrived early and the wonderful Darla allowed us to check-in since our room was ready. She's a gem. Friendly, funny, and approachable. We had a suite--the bed was very comfortable, and the hotel also has a year-round, outdoor hot tub fed directly by the natural mineral hot springs from the state park. There's also an outdoor pool they were prepping for the season. Free cookies when you arrive and a great breakfast. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places. Even though it was built in 1918, they've done an excellent job keeping the rooms updated.

The room had no functioning air conditioning, and the small portable unit that had been placed inside could not keep up and repeatedly shut off. None of these issues were disclosed before my arrival, nor were they reflected in the description of the room I booked. This was not the accommodations I was led to expect, and I am extremely disappointed with the experience. Because these issues were not adequately addressed, I will be filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Consumer Protection Division.

- AGAlastair GoodJun 1, 20262.0What a wonderful location situated inside the state park ...birds singing everywhere outside ... inside it's a bit sad as so much isn't working - the pool is out of order - the ice machine is broken ...the air-conditioning isn't working and temporary a/c running from a window vent - the staff are wonderful ( particularly Sean on front desk) ..but the owners have neglected this fine building for many years - time to invest and bring this fine building into the present era
