I stayed at this hotel on June 18, 2026, while traveling with my husband and two young children after a very long day of driving. The room itself was clean, the beds were comfortable, and overall the property appeared well-maintained. However, my experience with customer service was disappointing enough that I cannot give this hotel a 5-star review.
When we arrived to check in, my husband politely asked if there was a restroom he could use. We had been driving for approximately 14 hours and were traveling with two small children, so finding a restroom was important. The older woman working at the front desk immediately responded in a rude and dismissive manner, stating, “There are no public restrooms.” After we explained that we were checking in and had just arrived after a long drive, she finally told my husband where the restroom was located. The interaction felt unnecessarily hostile and unwelcoming, especially considering we were paying guests.
Unfortunately, the customer service issues continued after we got to our room. We discovered that the microwave was broken and could not be used. Since we needed it to warm food for our children, my husband went to the front desk to report the problem.
The same employee came to our room and, before even properly inspecting the microwave, stated in a rude tone, “You’re having issues with your microwave? Just press stop and open it. It looks fine to me.”
I explained that the issue was not user error and pointed out that the microwave door itself was physically damaged. We had literally just arrived and had not even had enough time to use it. Instead of acknowledging the problem, she appeared annoyed and mumbled under her breath while looking at it, saying something along the lines of, “Ugh, I don’t know why this is like this.”
She then left and returned approximately 30 minutes later with a replacement microwave. When she brought it back, she again spoke with an attitude and said, “Make sure you unlock it (press 0) before you try opening it again.”
At that point, I found the comment insulting. I know how to operate a microwave, and the original issue was a physically broken door… not an inability to use the appliance correctly. Rather than apologizing for the inconvenience or acknowledging that the microwave was defective, she seemed intent on implying that the problem was our fault.
I want to be clear that the room itself was good. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, and I had no complaints about the accommodations. We left around 5:00 a.m., so I cannot comment on the breakfast.
Had it not been for the repeated rude interactions with the front desk employee, I would have happily given this hotel a 5-star review. Customer service can make or break a guest’s experience, and unfortunately, the attitude and professionalism displayed during our stay significantly impacted what otherwise would have been a pleasant visit.
