  Beautiful area. The hike up to the Cove is a bit steep (for an old guy), but the path is very well maintained and the experience was fantastic. Since youth groups doing Trek reenactments tend to be there in the morning, 2:30pm was the perfect time to be there. We had the place almost entirely to ourselves - only encountered one other group of 5 during the whole of the ~6 mile loop. The visitor's center was nice as well, featuring artifacts from the Sun Ranch and the story of that place as well as good graphics and explanations about the westward expansion including the Mormon Trail, the Oregon Trail and the California Trail plus the Pony Express. If you have the better part of an afternoon to spend here, it is definitely worthwhile!

  First time on Trek. Such a neat experience. The missionaries were so organized with our leaders and medical team. They were very helpful with anything we needed. The experience through Martin's Cove was very special and meant a lot to our youth. Really worth it to connect with our heritage and be in the places where our ancestors forged their stories.

  This is such a beautiful site. Some of my Ancestors traveled by Handcarts as part of the Willey and Martin Handcart Companies. This was our third trip to this site but our first time seeing the museum.

  Martin's Cove is a fantastic stop. There's plenty to learn, see, and do. The staff is informative and friendly, and the hike is quite enjoyable. It's an educational spot that provides a meaningful experience, making it a worthwhile place to visit if you're passing by. Recommended stop.
