    Checked in on 9/20/2026 to our room and went out to eat. Came back to and I folded down the blankets on the bed and found bedbugs!!!! This motel refuses to give us a refund! We checked out IMMEDIATELY, took one of the bugs wrapped in a piece of paper to the front desk and gave it to the girl there. Told her we had to leave because there was bedbugs in the bed. We were not staying there. She said she would talk to their manager and we left. I have filed a complaint with Booking.com. I filed a complaint with this motel and they refused to give us a refund. This is absolutely terrible business practices. We will never stay there again.

    One of the dirtiest hotels I’ve stayed in. Hotel carpet filthy . Almost sticky. Feet black on bottom from walking on it barefoot .

    My husbands home away from home for the past 9 years! The staff are amazing, friendly, helpful. Cordell is awesome and Kat knows what you want before you ask… especially for those who work out of town and this has quite literally become home! My husband and son would have rooms and keys ready before they ever left VA! This place has been our summer, Thanksgiving, and Christmas spot so hubs can work and we can still celebrate together! Daughter loves the pool and the staff. I mention her a lot as the shy kid…. Until she meets good people! These are definitely good people! We visit other places and other Holiday Inn Express hotels… they are all lovely but my daughter always says “Cordell (or Kat) would have had that done already!” Difference being, they took the time to get to know hubby and other guests who become frequent flyers. I feel like every Holiday Inn has those guests who come so regular, that they hit autopilot (in a very good way) and it’s all done and locked in before the guests reach the door!
