  An absolute terrible experience!!! I booked a room at this hotel for six nights. I arrived there Monday night. While I was unpacking my bags to hang my clothes in the closet, There was a dirty shirt and dirty jeans hanging in the closet. To make things worse I woke up in the morning to shower for a business meeting there was no water. I went downstairs to the front desk to speak to the manager and told her about the issues that I was having and that I want to cancel my six day reservation and I Requested a Document stating the issues that I was having in my suite so I could send it to Priceline to get refunded. The manager’s exact words were I can’t provide you with a document right now because I’m too busy even though there were two employees sitting behind the counter not doing anything I said I need this document so I can send it to Priceline her exact words were “I don’t care”. This manager should be fired, and she should not be in the hospitality business. I ended up booking a place at the waterfront Marriott it was a great experience. It’s a little bit pricier, but worth it.

  Slept very well in the King Size bed. Room was clean and all HI teammates were very pleasant and helpful.

  Room is clean, bed and pillows super comfy. Like I googled them and might buy some IHG pillows. We were here for 4 nights the week of July 4th. On our second night the fire alarms went off at 10:30pm. Supposedly from the restaurant, but was a false alarm. We were on the 4th floor. A decent group of people actually evacuated, but were able to go back in ten minutes or less. The next night the power went out at 9:45, assuming due to the heat wave and an overloaded power grid. We were told that it wasn’t going to be back on till 11pm, which ended up being correct. It was a blocks-wide outage. But the fire alarms also started going off around 10:45, intermittently. They are deafening, so we sat in the car with the AC on for an hour plus. Saw a large (wedding?) party decide to go somewhere else. I guess I thought breakfast was included but it wasn’t. Was told our rate didn’t include the $15 off breakfast coupon at the restaurant, so basically you would pay for breakfast one way or another.

  My friend and I stayed 1 night here the night after Memorial Day. Since I am a Silver Elite IHG member, this was the second time I was not greeted with “We see you are an …”. That cost a star since I am supposed to be. What surprised me was the hotel had quiet hours. Since my friend drove from Elizabethtown, KY, those were helpful for each of us. I didn’t drive but did navigate. Besides the previous hotel, that was one of the best nights sleep I have had while not at home in some time thanks to the hotel being quiet. Since this is not a Holiday Inn Express, my friend and I did leave and eat breakfast at a nearby IHOP. Just be warned if you decide to eat there also, Maps and Google Maps try to take you to the restaurant the wrong way on a one way road at the end. You have to drive or walk around the building. To use for sleeping at night, I recommend this hotel. I believe it’s close to West Virginia University if you plan to stay for more than a night.
