  We changed from the Holiday in Express in Charleston to the one in Hurricane. Service & location is much better!

  We stayed here on our way home from Myrtle Beach. It says it's recently renovated but it looks like maybe just an updated coat of paint? The lobby was clean and staff was friendly. Room was mid. There was a stale/musty/damp smell inside (we had the 2 king suite). The fold out couch had some white crusty stains so we didn't bother to use it like we planned. The kids just shared the 2nd king bed. Lighting was dim. One side had the temp adjusted by a wall thermostat while the other was the older built into the wall ac unit. I expected a bit more for the price. The beds were comfortable but overall we don't feel like it was the quality we're used to for a Holiday Inn. Like others have mentioned, the parking lot was super small with not much room for even overflow parking in back. We likely wouldn't stay here again honestly. We were tired after traveling all day so it served it's purpose I suppose. Again, all staff we encountered was great. This is not a ding against any level of customer service we received.

  Its right off the I-264 there is a shopping complex right across the street. We had good time here nothing to complain.
