  I checked in late, about 9pm. I was expecting to get some online work done since I work remotely & was traveling all day. I was charged $150 (TTL Included) only to find out after I got into the room & setup my laptop that they provide NO INTERNET SERVICE. I spoke to Mandy, the front office clerk (very friendly) she verified NO INTERNET had been an ongoing difficulty that couldn’t be fixed. She made no mention of any sort of concession or refund so I could move to another property. In this day & age of $150 a night for lodging, internet service, to me, is a high priority service many expect & may even take for granted. This property lacks in providing an essential travel service by not providing adequate internet service.

  We had a great experience here! The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and had lots of choices, and the staff were friendly. Will definitely stay again if we travel through the area!

  Excellent experience at this Best Western. From the initial booking to checkin, Mandy was very friendly, helpful and really seemed to care. Room was clean and we had a good night sleep in a comfortable bed. The room was quiet and we heard no outside noise. Nice hot and cold breakfast selection included and the coffee was good! We would highly recommend this hotel and will stay here when we pass this way again.

  Not the absolute worst room we've ever stayed in, but pretty close. Our room reeked like stale cigarette smoke and dog. The entire hotel is supposedly smoke free, but seeing an employee walk into the lobby smoking kind of negates that. I understand that many guests may appreciate the fact that it's "pet friendly ", but for those of us with animal allergies, it's not a good thing. Even after taking allergy medicine, it was still an issue. So moving past the nasty smell in the room, the cleanliness left A LOT to be desired. The light switch in the bathroom was more black than clean, and the shower wall had the remnants of the last guest's shaving cream and hair. And the last guest's washcloth in the shower was great too. The bed was hard as a rock too. Walking to get a cup of coffee in the lobby allowed a look into the kitchen. That looked pretty sketchy also. So we decided to skip the breakfast. We only stayed here because most of the other hotels in Beckley were full. Next time, we would just drive on.

  Front desk guy was nice but rooms and halls smelled like cigarette smoke and was going to be a issue. left for a smoke free room. Out the money for the room. will not go back. Stayed their 6 times before.
