  We stumbled on this hotel on our way to a spontaneous outing to Door County. It was a great 1/2 way point from Madison, great location, and easy to find. The staff was welcoming and accomidating and the room was very nice. Best of all the pillows and shower were both awesome!

  Very clean was my first impression and the Staff was friendly and attentive. It was a very nice stay but I still haven't received a receipt, printed or by email, not sure why?

  We had a terrific stay! The front desk attendant was friendly and helpful. Our room was exceptionally clean. The on site restaurant was surprisingly reasonable in its prices. Overall, the property is updated, clean, and a good price for the amenities. Highly recommend.

  I cannot comment on the rooms, service, or checking process as I was only there for 4 hours for a conference. But the building overall is nice and clean. The conference center was also very clean and had a modern feel. The room we were on had working projects and audio equipment. It fit quite number of people, probably 200 or so attendees. The parking was plenty, with many spots near the front door of the conference center. The conference center was also well labeled. It is connected to the hotel and the neighboring food establishment.

  UPDATE: Updating to 3 stars as I'm impressed with how this ended up being handled and the rest of the hotel didnt have any issues. Maintenance came to our room and was able to fix the issue with the shower. They ended up removing and replacing the caulking as well as doing a mold killer scrub down. The pool area is very nice, its clean and has a lot of extras including the kids splash pad, a separate water slide, pool basketball and 2 hot tubs (one outdoors). Breakfast at Batleys was average but it being attached to the hotel is a nice feature. You can also order breakfast for room delivery the night before by placing an order card on the room door. Original: At check in, the front desk ladies were very helpful and explained how everything worked from the pool access to breakfast. I was however based on other recent reviews very disappointed in the room quality and cleanliness. The room was very dirty, we brought clorox disinfecting wipes and wiped down everything including the chairs. The wipes were yellow and black from the bathroom towel racks and toilet to the phone and air conditioning unit. Chairs were full of dog hair between the chair and cushions and the shower was COVERED in black and red/pink mold and the phone did not work to dial the front desk. We tried 4 seperate times and it dialed, but never rang. I Went down and spoke with the woman at the front desk and asked the shower be cleaned ASAP as well as the air unit filter which was also filthy. We also asked about the phone since we were unable to use it properly and they did advise that maintenance could come up to look at that and the filter in the morning. I got back a couple hours later and it had been cleaned a bit, mold and dirt still all over in the corners and edges and the shower walk in part. I get that its an accessible room so people using wheelchairs and such will bring dirt into the shower but this was the whole floor and was removed by a clorox wipe and some scrubbing when I first looked at it. The air unit was vacuumed as requested and was much better but still a little fuzzy, but I get that a vacuum can't necessarily fit into the area so it's understandable. This is my experience so far at check in so I will be back to update on the pool and other amenities and how this all works out but so far its been fairly disappointing due to previous reviews saying it was so clean.
