  We went here for a wedding. The staff was great. Helen was a gem. She was taking care of the breakfast station. On Saturday the day of the wedding she came back and drove us in the shuttle so we could be there a little early. My husband had a stroke in April and we were dealing with a wheelchair. I would also like to thank Anita she was very accommodating when I called back and said we now needed a handicap accessible room. Jake was also very nice when he drove us back to the hotel in the shuttle. Roxy was very accommodating. Anything we needed she was right there. The rooms may need a little attention. We were in a suite. The sink in the bathroom drained very slow. The floor in the kitchenette was sticky and the carpet felt kind of sticky when you walked on it barefoot. Also one last thing for a handicap accessible room you would think the door would stay open. It was very hard to get a wheelchair in and out, with out slamming on us. But your staff was the greatest!

  We had to change some travel plans when threatening weather was headed towards us and at the spur of the moment we picked the GrandStay Hotel. I had never heard of GrandStay Hotels before, but I will seek them out when traveling. It is a beautiful building, with very attentive, friendly staff, equally nice and comfortable rooms, and a good location. Breakfast was decent, convenient. A very good place to stay.

  We had a double queen regular hotel sized room. The beds were made and bathroom was tidy except for strands of black hair behind the toilet seat lid which had been left up. We saw it when we went to put the lid down after using it. (So they obviously dis not clean the toilet. (We ended up washing the whole toilet off ourselves). The beds were semi soft. I prefer plush as I don’t like to feel my bones on the mattress. The pool and hot tub were clean so we used those. It took two separate calls down to the office before someone would answer a question I had. Breakfast was very nice with a large variety of different breakfast items to choose from. The lady working was very nice and kept everything fresh and stocked. They do allow dogs and cats which is a plus if you have any.

  Stayed here for the Horrible Hilly Hundreds Ride at Blue Mound State Park. Nice place close to the event.
