  A very nice hotel with an intriguing history. Much of it has been nicely restored. I would say the rooms in the old / original building seem significantly nicer than the tower which is where I stayed - those rooms are very very basic but still comfortable enough. Multiple dining options in the hotel itself and while I don’t know much about Milwaukee, this location seems good, we walked down to the lake in about 10-15 minutes. Overall, if I was in Milwaukee again I would return.

  EXCELLENT. OUTSTANDING. Go ahead and spend a little extra on yourself to have an experience. My husband and I stayed here 3 nights in a row and will certainly be back.

  I gave this hotel a 5-star rating in the survey they sent me, but unfortunately, after I returned home, I discovered that I had brought bed bugs home with me. I contacted the hotel to let them know what happened and asked that they at least check the room I stayed in and consider some type of compensation toward a future visit. I received no response. I followed up again simply to ask whether the room had been checked — again, no response. Bummer. The hotel is in a great location and is really pretty, but the amount of work and stress I went through to make sure my home was bed bug free after this visit was significant. If the hotel isn’t going to take something like this seriously or even respond to a guest’s concerns, I’m not sure the experience is worth it.

  This place was incredible. The atmosphere, the staff, and the food in The Cafe. Shoutout to Brian for being the best bellhop! Everything was perfect.

  Very disappointing. Would not recommend. We booked a King suite for after our co-bachelor/bachelorette party downtown. We booked through priceline and called the hotel that morning to ensure that they had our reservation. When we arrived the girl at the front desk apologized that they didn't have that room anymore, so instead we were given a small pull out couch!!! We paid almost $600! It was completely unacceptable but, she said they couldn't refund the room and would give us $100 credit that can only be used for parking and food during the stay. After we went to the room I spent a half hour getting ahold of a representative from Priceline who stated they absolutely can refund and cancel our reservation. While on the phone with the representative he tried contacting the Pfister via email and call but no one answered. So back down to the front desk I go and have my fiance gather our luggage down to the front again. I told the gentleman that Priceline was trying to contact them but he said they haven't received an email. At this point my fiance and I are frustrated, tired, and wasting so much time of what was supposed to be a special night. We needed to sleep but didn't get much with the springs in our backs and feet hanging off the edge of our $500 pull out sofa special. What a way to spend the night of your once in a lifetime bachelorette party, leaving in tears.
