We stayed for one night at the end of June. This hotel is AMAZING! We loved everything about it. Cool design, terrific room, great lobby bar and the BEST pizza. And there is a real modern art gallery. Where do you get that??? Absolutely recommend 100 %

Truly a bespoke hotel experience. Very good for artistically minded individuals or audiophiles. Every hotel room comes with art supplies, record players, and a ukulele.

I traveled to Milwaukee from out of town for a music performance and booked Saint Kate because it seemed like the perfect place to relax, get changed, and prepare before heading to the venue. Unfortunately, the guest experience fell far short of expectations. The parking and arrival process was unnecessarily confusing. The website says self-parking is available with in-and-out privileges, but it does not explain where guests should park or how the process works. Nothing was clearly marked as Saint Kate parking, and I ended up stopping at valet during rush hour just to figure out where to go. A simple note explaining where to enter the garage and that guests should bring their ticket to the front desk for validation would have prevented a lot of frustration. Check-in was the biggest disappointment. The reservation was under my boyfriend's name, but I had the confirmation emails, reservation number, the credit card used for the booking, and had set up the Saint Kate app using the hotel's check-in code. Despite this, I was told I could not check in because he was not physically present. If this is the hotel's policy, it was not clearly communicated beforehand. I then I was asked to wait while the person working ‘cleared the line’. So basically he made me wait through a long line of other guests, this was especially frustrating because I was traveling for a performance and had planned to use that time to prepare. Since it was too late to cancel and get a refund we came back to try and check in again after the performance. There was live music - a plus, the band was great. We asked at the reception desk about food- she said all of their kitchens were closed. We walked around the corner outside and saw a pizza place. Turns out once we got inside it was directly connected to the lobby w the music. Weird that the lady working didn’t know the hours of the pizza place that is attached, and she was trying to send us to some brat place that was a walk over the river. The irony is that Saint Kate markets itself as an arts hotel. As a visiting musician, I expected a more welcoming and organized experience. The room was fine. One TV remote did not work, the walls were thin enough to hear a crying baby and barking dog, and the linens and pillows felt fairly average. Breakfast also required a significant wait despite having a reservation, with a long line throughout the morning. They seemed under staffed. Dj during breakfast was good ! Saint Kate has a nice concept and a strong identity, but the execution of the basic hospitality experience needs improvement. Better communication, smoother check-in procedures, and stronger staff coordination would make a big difference. Based on this stay, I would not choose to return

Located downtown so everything we wanted was walking distance or a quick Lyft away. This hotel has a trendy, unique art that gives it a lot of character. The location is excellent, with several restaurants within walking distance, making it very convenient for exploring the area. The Riverwalk was great stroll through downtown. The room was clean and well-maintained and space was hugh with a separate living room. Had unique art work in each room. The coffee station on each floor was something new which included filter water. The staff was attentive and welcoming, they let us check in early. Overall, it’s a good choice if you’re looking for a stylish hotel in a great location.

We had a great and fun stay at Saint Kate! We chose the hotel based on previous reviews and their focus on art and music. It surpassed our expectations. You can self park in the same block, actually building complex so you never have to go back outside. The room was fun with the ukulele and turn table. There were some LPs already in the room, but you can get more down in the lobby. The room was very clean and comfortable. Loved the location- downtown close to lots of restaurants and music clubs. The staff was very friendly and responsive. It was fun walking through the art galleries in the hotel and one of the best little Easter eggs was the 'study room' located on a couple of the floors. It was a little private oasis accessible to guests, only if you get your key activated- so mention it when you check in. The room had had music options and a coffee maker. Oh and another great feature was the coffee bar on each floor. This concept should be a model for all hotels to follow. It had a Keurig machine hard plumbed so it always had fresh water, plenty of tea and coffee options too. Loved it!
