  This hotel had no functioning pool, no functioning restaurant - we were offered frozen cheese pizzas, and no Continental breakfast. This hotel is very close to an assisted hospice facility and we needed this hotel to take care of us during a time of grief and hardship and I feel they failed and took advantage by attempting to charge an outrageous fee after. I have already told family members not to stay here during this time of grief because I feel this hotel failed the barest minimum of my expectations of a Holiday Inn

  Great gym here for a hotel gym. Dumbells go up to 50 pounds and there is an elliptical and treadmill

  I am currently staying at this hotel for work and will be here for several weeks, which makes this experience especially disappointing. There has been a persistent and disturbing noise coming from inside the wall of my room that has made it nearly impossible to sleep. I barely slept last night, and as I write this review in the middle of the night, I am once again unable to rest because the noise continues uninterrupted. What concerns me most is not just the maintenance issue itself, but how it has been handled. After reporting the problem to management, no one offered to inspect the room or investigate the source of the noise. When I asked to be moved, I was told that I could only be transferred to a handicap-accessible room. I was further informed that there were other unoccupied rooms in the hotel, but they were being held for guests who may arrive over the next couple of days. As a result, despite being a current guest experiencing an unresolved issue that has affected my ability to sleep, I was told I could not be moved to one of those rooms. As someone staying here for an extended work assignment, I expected a reasonable effort to either address the problem or provide an alternative room. Instead, I have spent multiple nights with little to no sleep and have yet to see any meaningful attempt to resolve the issue. I am posting this review while the issue is still ongoing. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I have had difficulty getting concerns addressed by staff, which makes this situation even more frustrating. Hotels are not judged by whether problems occur; problems occur everywhere. They are judged by how they respond when those problems affect their guests. In this case, a room issue serious enough to prevent sleep resulted in no inspection, no apparent attempt to fix the problem, and no room transfer despite other rooms sitting unoccupied. That is the experience I am having as a long-term guest.

  First off the staff was very polite and friendly on our stay, which I really appreciate! Our room was also clean. However, the pool was closed, there's no complimentary breakfast (one of the main reasons we use Holiday Inns) and the treadmill was out of order in the gym. Luckily it was nice enough outside for a jog. Also, half the kids channels were nonfunctional on the TV and the remote didn't work well. I think all in all we will probably look elsewhere if we stay in Marshfield again.
