  A very nice older hotel. Rest rooms were unkempt. Had a stranger knocking on my door at 10:10PM.

  Location is great for Manitowoc BUT our friends who stayed in a first floor room had people looking in their windows who were living in the campers outside. When he called the front desk, she asked him what he wanted the hotel to do. ??? Then when we returned from being out, another guest was complaining that someone has been given keys to his SAME ROOM and entered the room while he was in there. They attempted to placate with a free breakfast. At breakfast on Sunday, a table complained about the food and left. The cook came out with a bunch of eggs and berated a completely different table about food temperature even though they tried repeatedly to tell him that they were not the ones who complained. We had to request a replacement key for our room and were only asked our room number, no name and no ID verification. And finally, the trash in the halls was overflowing and the common area carpets were not vacuumed for our entire stay. Doors to the outside were either propped open or did not lock properly. It was an absolutely wild IHG experience.

  We were given a room on the first floor with a window facing the back lot. The back lot is filled with campers, kids bikes/scooters, junk cars and people who live the campers. One such person walked straight up to our room, and put his face and hands against the glass trying to see in. I called the front desk to alert them, and they stopped talking to me. The door to the lot is left ajar to afford the folks in the back lot free range of the hotel. At breakfast, another table complained about the quality and temperature of their food, and then left. The cook emerged from the back, and started to berate our table, despite the protest of the hostess that it wasn’t us. He then emerged a second time to continue the barrage of counter protest even bringing a tub of eggs from the and sitting it on our table in protest of the temperature claim telling me to feel it. The other guests were right though. The food was all cold despite the burners being on. At night, the front of the hotel had no less than 20 people lining the wall smoking cigarettes and weed. At checkout, I brought up the camper guy who was looking in our window, and they couldn’t care less. In my opinion, this place is unsafe and falls far below the standards of a standard holiday inn.

  Hotel is nice but a bit old. Staff was polite and location was convenient. My big problem was lack of soundproofing. Listened to a man next to our room on his cell phone for hours. At 7:00am adjacent room TV sound coming through the walls. Peace and quiet would be nice for a weary traveler.

  Very old fashion hotel. The style is outdated, commum area carpets are very dirty, at breakfast had to take 3 cups to find a clean one (at the end gave up and took a paper cup felt safer). Very difficult to sleep properly due to all the noises and vibration from AC (my room but also the rooms next to mine), the random noises coming from the bathroom etc ... Day 2 left my room at 7.30am came back at 8.00pm it hasnt been clean, staff told me sorry they had a busy day ... My room had no outside window but a balcony facing the inside of the building and the hotel staff felt it would been a good idea to blast music from the ceiling speaker at 9.30pm ... Definitely not a Holiday Inn experience even holiday inn express are better than this hotel. Positive point plenty of restaurants around the hotel.
