  Great spot to stay while doing Epic training. Has a shuttle to and from Hyperspace, which is super helpful. The front desk is always courteous and helpful. Rooms get the job done. The location is fantastic; easily walkable to food and things to do. Solid stuff

  We booked Hotel Indigo Downtown Madison for our wedding room block and were extremely disappointed with our experience working with them. So much so that I would say working with this hotel was by far the most stressful and upsetting part of our wedding planning experience. We signed our contract more than a year before our wedding, which included specific pricing and amenities. About two months before our wedding, we discovered that nearly every single guest had paid a different amount for their stay, and the rates were significantly higher than our contracted rates. This contributed to some of our guests ultimately not attending, as the rates they were given were unaffordable, and it became a nightmare to try to get the issue resolved. The hotel first told us that our guests had not used our booking link. We disputed this and provided proof that our names appeared on several of the reservations. We were then told that guests must have booked through a third-party site. This was true for only two guests out of 85 and did not explain the numerous other discrepancies. Finally, we were told that it must have been a “glitch in their system” that was showing guests the wrong prices, but that it “wasn’t on their end.” We had to fight to get the hotel to honor the contract terms they had set. We then had to contact every single one of our guests, find out what they had actually paid, and send each invoice to the hotel individually to have the rates corrected to what was stated in our contract. These were not inexpensive rates to begin with, but we were comfortable with the contracted pricing and had no issue paying it. The issue was that the hotel did not honor the rates they had agreed to. We also found the staff to be unprofessional and unpleasant throughout this process. The chain of communication was inconsistent and frustrating. I seemed to be talking to someone different every time and had to explain the entire situation from the beginning repeatedly. When I did, the response often made it seem as though we were inconveniencing them simply by asking them to honor our contract. Even after the pricing issue was resolved, we continued to be disappointed. We booked a banquet space for our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, and as part of that contract and the rates we paid, setup and a room flip were included. When we arrived, the room was not set up correctly for our event. When we brought this to the staff’s attention, the response was hostile. Rather than simply acknowledging the issue and correcting it, staff were visibly annoyed and tried to convince us that the room had been set up correctly and that we had misunderstood what had been agreed upon. After reviewing our previous emails to double-check, we confirmed that we had not misunderstood anything and that the setup did not match what had been agreed upon. The entire experience was a huge letdown, especially because we genuinely love the theme and atmosphere of Hotel Indigo and have had wonderful experiences at other Hotel Indigo locations. Unfortunately, our experience with the Downtown Madison location was completely different. If you are planning a wedding, I would strongly encourage you to consider taking your business elsewhere. Based on our experience, I would not trust this location to manage a wedding room block, particularly when contracted rates are important to your guests. Working with this hotel added an enormous amount of unnecessary stress to what should have been an exciting time.

  Wonderful rooms. Love to have the suite level room. Great to have a little extra room. Welcoming and attentive staff will take great care of you. Indigo is my place to stay when visiting my Badger child or in Madison for business. Wonderful morning walk from hotel to Madison Sourdough for breakfast and lunch or dinner must is The Deliciouser for best hamburger for lunch and must eat dinner when in Madison.   I had a great stay here. Helpful staff. Easy shuttle to the airport. Comfy beds. The TV gave me a little trouble but was fixed. Great shower. Overall very happy. Will stay here again in three months.
