  Cait, this location's Front of Office Manager, was graciously accommodating. After arriving to my room, I literally had to kick the bottom of the door open because it wouldn't physically budge, even with a strong push and slight shoulder bump. I reported this to the front desk and Cait was apologetic, professional and promptly moved me to a different/much nicer space (no issues). She offered to remain on call for the rest of the evening afterwards. Thank You Cait!

  We have been staying at this hotel for about 30 years on and off. During those 30 years there has been one constant - the breakfast and happy hour lady Charlene. She keeps us coming back year after year. She is such a caring and loving lady who truly endears herself to the patrons. In my 30 years Navy career and 25 year teaching and coaching career I have Been fortunate and blessed to travel the world over. No body is like Charlene. She is the absolute Best. And this years front desk of Jennifer and Miranda are proving to be some of the best front desk people Kim and I have had the pleasure to Meet. Holiday In. express Janesville is among the best of the many Holiday Inn Express Hotels in the United States that We have stayed in. Thank You. John and Kim

  Everything was great until the concierge tried to guilt me into keeping my reservation. I was leaving early because my work trip ended and she had the audacity to ask me with disdain in her voice if I could just leave and keep my reservation. This was at 9 am by the way. Plenty of time to cancel. YEAH RIGHT! Horrible experience. EDIT: I called back and they DID NOT CANCEL IT. THEY ATTEMPTED TO CHARGE ME AFTER CHECK OUT FOR AN ADDITIONAL NIGHT. THIS IS COMPLETELY ILLEGAL AND UNACCEPTABLE.

  Hotel was fine. We arrived super late well after midnight - pulled into parking lot got out to grab bags and a creepy guy rode up on his bike asking for money for gas and his mom would pay us back by Apple Pay so pretty weirded out by that. Go in and the guy working front desk was either high as a kite or just a had some major issues. Asked us the same questions of couple times and then told us about breakfast three times then said did I tell you about breakfast. Again hotel was fine for quick overnight but the people in this area might be from another planet. Very strange. Would not stay here again.

  A tale of two VERY different hotels (sorry for the long review!) Started our long Labor Day weekend of cross country travel by checking into an IHG hotel in a neighboring city. After 15 hours of driving, the last thing you want is a hotel issue! Due to a crazy circumstance, we immediately checked out and began calling other IHG hotels for availability. Fortunately Jenna at this hotel (Holiday Inn Express/Janesville) told us they had two rooms for us. Drove to Janesville and immediately checked in. First impression: WOW. Jenna was incredibly helpful over the phone in securing our rooms. She put my mind at ease that we would not encounter the same problem we did at our previous hotel. Upon getting to our rooms, we were absolutely floored at this hotel. Freshly remodeled, our rooms were absolutely perfect. So many functional features that made the small space fit our needs perfectly. From a rolling desk (that easily doubled as a dinner table) to micro/fridge in room, we were thrilled. Hotel itself is beautiful – even by Holiday Inn express standards. Landscaping around the hotel is incredibly nice, the hotel is perfectly clean, and everything smelled clean and fresh (NOT perfumy, like when covering odors). Check in was a breeze and our golden retriever was welcomed. I’m an incredibly light sleeper. I was very worried that the proximity to the highway would keep me up. I’m happy to report we could not hear highway noise at all, and we faced the highway! Further, the air conditioner condenser was able to stay on for a nice quiet hum all night long rather than turning on/off as so many hotel units do. Even though there was a wedding in the attached conference center, the hotel was perfectly quiet all night long. Bed was very comfortable. The breakfast had a nice variety and was served in a very clean area. You can tell the employees all take pride in this place and keep it looking fantastic. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Holiday Inn Express in Janesville! You saved our vacation and allowed us a great night of sleep before the next leg of our journey!
