  Had a great experience at the Holiday Inn in Tacoma, WA! The rooms were very clean, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and overall the hotel was excellent. But the best part of our stay was definitely the staff. After a long day of traveling, their team made check-in easy, welcoming, and honestly fun. The two girls we worked with at check-in were absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately we were so tired from traveling that we didn’t catch their names, otherwise they would absolutely deserve a special spotlight in this review. They were personable, funny, and just amazing to work with. Truly one of the best hotel check-in experiences we’ve ever had. Highly recommend this hotel!

  Listen, if I could leave a review on the room itself and the kindness of staff, it would be 5 stars. Staff were friendly, beds were comfortable. But unfortunately my whole experience outside of those two things has been rough. There was a birthday party at the pool, and while I love kids playing, I didn’t love all of the kids from the party shooting me and others in the face with squirt guns. This was in the pool and hot tub. There were at least 15 kids flipping blow up pool inflatables, screaming and just chaos. Then each time the parent had an announcement (cake, pizza, presents) they would yell across the whole pool to get the kids attention and get them out. My child and I ended up leaving because it was just too crazy and insanely loud. When I got back to my room I tried using the phone to call the front desk, but just kept getting the busy signal. Next, I understand noise from the highway, that’s going to happen when you’re close to the road. But for over an hour now (still going as I’m writing) there has been someone parked in the back parking lot by my room blasting music with every door of their car open. I called the front desk with my cell phone, they said they would address it, and nothing was done. The people left after about an hour, so around 11PM. I booked this room as a fun night with one of my kids, and unfortunately this entire experience has been disappointing and frustrating. Adding a picture of the spot next to the hot tub that honestly just looks like a giant hazard as well.

  Had a wonderful experience with the staff and had a nice time cooling off after some long driving! Would also also recommend going to the SBK(Secret Burger Kitchen) inside if you want to enjoy a good smash burger. Catherine actually recommended it to me and if you want any more interesting eats and places to go I'd talk to her about it!

  3pm, April 7, 2026. I get to the counter to check in and pay, The Short Black Bald Man says i can't check in because I need a Debit or credit card from a MAJOR BANK INSTITUTION TO CHECK IN, I use MyWisley Debt Card. 1 block away is Express Holiday inn Lady at the counter says, THEY DONT NOT REQUIRE A CARD FROM A SPECIFIC DEBIT OR CREDIT CARDS TO CHECK-IN, AT ANY HOLIDAY IN JUST HAVE THE MONEY.
