  Main reason for booking this room for my week-long stay was for the use of the hot tub and pool. OUT OF ORDER and they don't know when it'll be open. Offered points for the inconvenience. WTH? Rooms should be more soundproof with the navy base near by.

  No breakfast is almost a deal breaker. There is another best Western in the same parking lot. Older with smaller rooms but when you wake up and have kids and diabetics that need to eat right away having breakfast available without having to get ready for day 1st was missed. That being said they do have kitchenettes so if you are staying more than 1 night it would work to buy a few groceries and make something your self.

  I enjoyed staying here. The staff was friendly and attentive. Location was central for what I needed. Clean room and spacious. I loved the sliding glass door. My only complaint was the TV. You could not adjust the picture and it was zoomed in. Also could not change the input. I had planned to hook up my laptop to stream but the remote has no option to switch it and there are no buttons on the TV itself.

  We recently stayed at the Best Western Plus in Oak Harbor and would rate it 3 stars overall. The bed was excellent — easily the highlight of the stay and very comfortable. But beyond that, it just didn’t live up to the price. At $195 a night, it felt significantly overpriced — more in line with a $125 stay at best. The bathtub was honestly a safety hazard. It was difficult to get out of, and I actually needed help from my girlfriend to get out of it — not something you expect when staying at a hotel in this price range. The TV setup was also disappointing. Just basic cable, with no streaming services available at all, which feels pretty outdated these days. Breakfast was another letdown — very minimal and comparable to what you’d expect from a budget motel decades ago. Even the plastic utensils felt cheap and flimsy. As Best Western Rewards members, we expected a lot more. Unfortunately, this stay just didn’t deliver the value or quality we were hoping for.
