Bed and room were comfortable. Someone had stained the wallside right next to the bed in my room with what appeared to be their nose excretions (boogers), which the cleaners did not see before my arrival, and was not pleasant to see as my first view, upon waking.
The breakfast was delicious, but there were many people coughing and sneezing in the breakfast lounge. For people with immune system deficiencies, this can be quite stressful and make the breakfast not worth partaking in.
Though it was not posted, the breakfast area manager told me not to take my food back to my room. I managed to negotiate with her for a one-time exception, but finding a way that is acceptable to management, that allows for more flexibility for guests would be worth trying to devise.
"Pet-area" signs posted on the building side mislead guests who may think the hotel accepts pets, as many Best Western brand lodgings do. (This one does not, evidently). Those signs should be removed or the policy changed in order to cease misleading potential guests. The coffee in the lobby is very weakly brewed—more what I would expect to find in a motel 6 than a Best Western. Otherwise, it was a superb stay.

Came for a Hotel Stay, Left Emotionally Attached!**
There are simply not enough words to describe how incredible this hotel is, but buckle up because I'm going to try!
Upon arrival, we were greeted by the Assistant General Manager, and let me tell you, if this woman isn't running the entire hospitality industry by next Tuesday, someone is seriously dropping the ball! She was kind, knowledgeable, professional, and had the kind of positive energy that makes you wonder if she drinks sunshine for breakfast.
We were visiting under some unfortunate circumstances, and she graciously allowed us to check in early. Every time we passed through the lobby, she checked to make sure we were doing okay. MA'AM, WHO RAISED YOU?! Because they deserve a fruit basket. An absolute GEM!
**Now, let's discuss Paradise Bar & Grill, because apparently the kitchen staff has a direct line to heaven.**
We started with the steak nachos, which were phenomenal. Then, because my husband and I are proud members of the Carnivore Appreciation Society, we ordered the prime rib.
OH. MY. GRAVY.
Perfectly medium rare, juicy, tender, and so delicious I genuinely considered proposing marriage to it. My husband was sitting right there, but frankly, he was going to have to understand. I've made my choice, and it comes with au jus.
And the vegetables?! THE VEGETABLES! Perfectly seasoned and cooked. Somewhere out there, a rabbit is weeping because it will never experience vegetables this magnificent.
Our server, Stephanie, was another superstar! Attentive, friendly, and an absolute sweetheart. Drinks arrived promptly, and her service was flawless.
**And the staff? Every. Single. One. Of. Them.**
Smiling. Friendly. Professional. Genuinely happy to help.
I KNOW. IN THIS ECONOMY?!
Customer service like this is practically an endangered species, but this hotel is apparently running a full-blown wildlife sanctuary for exceptional employees.
Most places these days couldn't give two hoots. But these people? They had hoots to spare! Oprah-style. YOU GET A HOOT! YOU GET A HOOT! EVERYBODY GETS A HOOT!
**Now, the hotel itself.**
Clean? Immaculate.
Comfortable? Like being hugged by a cloud.
The lake views? Absolutely breathtaking! The water was so calm it looked like someone had laid a giant sheet of glass across it just to show off.
And the hot tub? Sweet mother of relaxation. So spacious and comfortable I nearly fell asleep. Had my husband not been there, I might still be sitting in it, slowly evolving into a human raisin.
But here's what truly made this stay special. We weren't visiting under the happiest circumstances, yet this incredible team managed to turn a difficult trip into something filled with kindness, comfort, and wonderful memories.
**This hotel has officially ruined all other hotels for me.**
Moses Lake? I'm staying here. Spokane? I'll commute. Seattle? I'll figure out the logistics.
To the entire team at Best Western Plus Lakefront Hotel and Paradise Bar & Grill: Whatever you're doing, KEEP DOING IT!
We cannot wait to return under happier circumstances, see those wonderful smiling faces again, and reunite with the prime rib that stole my heart.
**WE. WILL. BE. BACK.** 😎
*Cue dramatic slow-motion exit and cool sunglasses.*
**P.S. Please tell the prime rib I haven't stopped thinking about it.**
