- SHScott HoaglandJul 26, 20261.0At 62 years old, I’ve stayed at plenty of hotels, and this is by far one of the worst experiences of my life. To make matters worse, the price was roughly four times what it should have been for what we got ($420) Upon arrival, I immediately checked the bedroom for bedbugs — I honestly wouldn’t have been surprised to find them. I’ve stayed at Marriott, Hilton, Four Seasons, and other Best Western properties, and this one is by far the worst I’ve ever experienced. I took multiple photos documenting the issues, including a toilet seat that clearly hadn’t been cleaned before our arrival. I called the front desk and had them come clean it, which was a major inconvenience since we’d already arrived late. I was also told the room had been recently renovated — which is hard to believe given the choices made. Everything was painted dark, paired with stark white accents, and the LED lighting was so intensely bright you’d need sunglasses just to turn it on. On top of that, the bathroom fan was so loud that turning on the light probably woke up the neighbors.
