We recently hosted a bridal shower for around 45 guests in the Tucannon Meeting Room at Best Western Plus Dayton Hotel & Suites, and it was a wonderful experience! The room was clean, spacious, and had plenty of tables and room for our brunch setup and guests to comfortably gather and visit.
The location was very convenient for guests traveling from both Pomeroy and Walla Walla. Complimentary coffee and water were provided, which was such a thoughtful touch, and we were even able to use the refrigerator to keep our champagne chilled.
A special thank you to Holly, who was incredibly warm, friendly, and helpful throughout the event. She made sure we had everything we needed and truly helped make the day run smoothly.
We highly recommend this venue for showers, meetings, or special events!

Never had the food that was on the breakfast board. Always out of something every morning. Poor organization

We had a great experience at the best western plus Dayton! Staff were very friendly, gave advice of what to do in the area, and helped with anything we needed. We appreciated the option of the suite with sofa bed at a comparable price, that our dog was welcome and that the pool and hot tub were working and had a handicap accessible option.
Best Western Plus in Dayton has been problematic the last couple times I have stayed there. This time there were several issues.
First issue relates to housekeeping. Upon checking in I was asked about housekeeping. I said I wanted daily housekeeping and was told due to the holiday, housekeeping would not be available on Thanksgiving. I was staying for 4 nights (Tuesday-Saturday, checking out Saturday morning) so we negotiated 2 days for housekeeping with the first day for housekeeping being Wednesday and the second day being Friday. Housekeeping never cleaned the room on Wednesday despite my being gone from 9:30 am until after 9 pm .
The second issue relates to plumbing. There was no hot water my first morning. When I brought this up to management’s attention. I was told that they knew the hot water issue was an ongoing problem they were aware of and they were awaiting parts apparently. I would have appreciated knowing this upon checking in rather than after the fact.
The 3rd issue relates to the general state of the plumbing fixtures. The water in this area is very hard. The plumbing fixtures, bathroom tiles, shower doors and porcelain sinks and toilet bowl are caked with mineral deposits. Tiles and porcelain fixtures are dingy. Plumbing fixtures (faucet and shower spray heads) are caked with heavy mineral deposits. These are easily cleaned with vinegar and a brush. Towels are also dingy due to the hard water. I don’t know if this property has a water softener system, but it might be a worthwhile investment to extend the life of the plumbing fixtures and linens.
The final issue is the most troubling. Due to an unexpected emergency I had to check out a day early. I was informed that I would be charged for the unused night because I didn’t give 24 hours notice. I typically stay at Marriott or IHG properties and have never experienced this problem at those properties. Nor have I experienced this issue at other Best Western properties- only here at the Dayton Washington property. Plans change for many good reasons, often on short notice. It’s been my experience that most every hotel has been happy to make an accommodation for their members, except for this particular property in Dayton.
Needless to say that when I return in July to visit my family for a week, I will be staying in Walla Walla at either Courtyard by Marriott or at Holiday Inn Express.

If you aren't going to have the pool available or provide a decent breakfast you should reduce the price accordingly.
