  The room cleanliness was quite concerning. We noticed stains on the sheets, but brushed it off and assumed they were clean anyway. There were what appeared to be pubic and head hairs in the shower. The bathroom floor, dresser, and night stand were dusty. I called the front desk to let them know what we noticed, and they offered to switch our room or bring up new linens. However, we had just driven 11 hours, and didn’t want to switch rooms or deal with changing our own sheets at around 10pm. When we were going to leave, we noticed a bigger stain at the bottom of the bed. It smelled sweet and looked like coffee. The sweet smell told me that the sheets probably hadn’t been changed. I’m so disgusted with the condition of our room and will never be back to a Garner hotel.

  On the outside it doesn’t look bad after it says it's renovated. I stopped here over night on a business trip. When we entered the person at the desk was on her cellphone. We waited about 2 minutes for her to acknowledge we were there. She didn't hang up her call & asked us if we were checking in. Check-in took 3 minutes & then she finished her call. The elevator is dated looks old & there was water on the floor. The room was ok. The sheets were clean & the bathroom was clean The next day, we went down for breakfast. There were 4 people standing behind the desk no one spoke to us. The only person that spoke to us was the woman in the breakfast area. The breakfast was not good. My husband is an IHG member & when he books he always books at other properties. This was our first time there & our last. I know when I'm not welcomed somewhere & the Garner will not get my patronage/money again.

  Our room was so clean, and the pillows and bed were wonderful. The view out our window was absolutely gorgeous, and everyone working there was so kind. Delicious breakfast as well. Hope we can stay again someday at this beautiful place!

  It is a clean, new (or freshly refurbished), low budget motel. Limited hot breakfast, but still good. Mattress was getting a wee bit hard after 6 hours, and sound insulation between the room and the hallway wasn't great.... But to be expected at this price point and is a good overall value. Being pet friendly was a big help, and the staff members we met were helpful and friendly. If we needed a stop on a long highway trip, we would come back.

  The Garner is an IHG hotel that was refurbished from someone else. Not as many creature comforts as HIE but if you just need a comfortable room for the night the price is worth it. Good breakfast but limited choices.
