  The absolute best staff I have encountered in any hotel! I cannot sing their praises highly enough. They seem to understand hospitality and the importance of a work ethic and this made our trip so great

  Life/Safety not an issue with this hotel. Too bad, the staff were pretty good, the room was what you'd expect from a discount lower-tiered hotel room, but during our entire 4-day stay, the door leading to the indoor pool (the kind where the lock opens with the guestroom key) was TAPED OPEN. The lock was broken, so management decided to tape over the locking mechanism, so just a gentle push opens the door. Problem with that, the lock is a SAFETY issue - it's there so some toddler doesn't wander into the area on their own and fall into the pool and drown. There were no other security measures, no cameras, no one looking at the area to prevent a child from accessing the pool. We reported it right away to the front desk, got a "we know about it" and that was that. We went back every day trying to emphasize the importance of fixing this (or else close the pool), we got shrugs and how the maintenance guy will eventually get to it. Still taped open 4 days later when we were leaving. Maybe if some guest who had lost a child to drowning can talk to these people they'd have a different tune? Anyway, cannot recommend this hotel in the slightest due to their indifference on human life.

  By far one of the best places to stay in Williamsburg. I must give a major shout out to the housekeeper by the name of Chavelya. She has the most vibrant attitude and was very courteous, respectful, and accommodating. I will definitely plan my future visits to Williamsburg with this place.

  This is the worst hotel I’ve stayed at in years. When we arrived at our room, the door was already ajar and could just be pushed open. We realized this was because the door frame was so damaged the door would only close if you threw your body weight into the handle and pulled it shut as hard as you could. Hot water never worked during our 3 night stay. The front desk said it was a building wide issue and they were working on it. A guest at the elevator told us it hadn’t worked for three weeks he’d been staying there and the front desk was just giving everyone the same line of BS. The AC unit in our room would only cool if the thermostat was lowered to 62 degrees. Then the room temp finally broke below 78 degrees. The room smelled strongly of mildew and smoke. The carpet was old and stained. The tub was stained. The grout in the bathroom was absolutely disgusting. The mattress was hard as a rock and sagged in the middle. Free breakfast was nasty and the breakfast area was a mess. The table of free snacks downstairs doesn’t begin to make up for any of this. These clowns charged us almost $500 for 3 nights in this dump. Never again. Do better.

  Overall, we had a good experience with the hotel. The room was very nice, and the hotel itself was clean and well-maintained. We arrived very late at night/early in the morning and chose this hotel because it was affordable and conveniently located along our route. Unfortunately, we seemed to get unlucky with the rooms. Our first room smelled extremely strongly of mildew, so we requested a different room. The second room had a strong marijuana smell. We ultimately stayed in the second room, and while the smell was unpleasant, everything else about the room and hotel was great. If it weren’t for the odors in both rooms, this would have been an excellent stay. I truly think we may have just gotten unlucky, because otherwise we were very pleased with the hotel.
