  We held the celebration of the 36th Anniversary of our church ( Virginia Beach Seventh Day Adventist Church) there. The service and atmosphere blended well and produced a superlative experience for the attendees. A most memorable occasion!

  This is my first trip to VA beach. I was able to check in earlier so that was nice! My room (1109) was clean to my liking except for the shower. There was noticeable mold around the door hinges and hair in the shower. The balcony would have been nicer if the AC was not leaking out on the balcony. There are a lot of restaurants in walking distance it sadly I couldn’t find any great seafood. :-( The hotel cost was higher than it was worth. Breakfast was standard but did the job. Service was good. The beach was nice enough. The water was a little rough but fun. Downside to the trip was all the weed smoking. There’s a no smoking policy but I could clearly smell it from the people next door while sitting on the balcony because she keeps coughing. I also saw people smoking it last night on the beach but that may not be a non smoking area. Overall, a decent trip.

  The room was ok. Customer service not so much. $25 for parking on top of the room charge. 2 hour wait to check in and we were not compensated for wasting our time. Busy or not they should have given us a voucher for free parking and or a discount off of dining. They did nothing and were not very apologetic...said it was "unfortunate". Rude on the phone also when I called back to ask why we had a $25 charge. I guess their time and money is more valuable than guests are. Elevators slow and not working. Had to take the stairs which were excrutiatingly hot while carrying luggage. The view was great aside from the trees that need to be cut back. The room was ok. Beds are firm. Could have been cleaner in the bathroom. Aside from that we were not impressed.

  This place has been our go-to for the last few years, but we won’t be returning unless the new parking situation changes. It used to be included. One space per room. Now they want the charge $25 per day per room!!! It’s cheaper to park at a private lot and even at some garages. It disappointing be use this hotel is central to what we like, easily visible, the rooms are nice and we love the showers. Hemmingway’s restaurant is not bad if a little pricey but it’s beachfront so that’s expected.

  I know everyone has different experiences but, I really dont know why this place doesnt have higher reviews. We arrived a few hours early fully expecting to not be able to check in. We were going to just walk around and explore but, they let us check in early. The first night, we noticed that our A/C was struggling. I went down to the front desk and told them and they saud they would send someone right up. Literally, 10 minutes later, a gentleman showed up and fixed it right on the spot. Couldn't ask for a better location. Right out of the hotel, cross the boardwalk and onto the sand. The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly. Hemingway's is the restaurant there. It's a bit pricey for my blood but, I did get the honey sirracha wings and rice and they were exceptional! Needless to say, I would have full confidence in recommending this Holiday Inn.
