It is a Holiday Inn folks but this a a step above and they are renovations as you read. The indoor lazy river is so perfectly built in the late 80s. The location cannot be beat. Staff is so gracious and kind.

Visited this hotel for a weekend getaway at Virginia Beach and was pleasantly surprised. We enjoyed walking down the boardwalk to shopping and nightlife and the mural festival that offered artistic interest in the Vibe District. We would definitely return here as a couple or with the kids.

My rooms were booked on the promise that they would be together, i have a family of 5. Upon check in, the manager allowed another guest to stand at the desk watching him take my information instead of asking Mr.Nosey to step aside or ask someone else to attend to him. Anyway! I was given my suite on the first floor and then my additional room on the 5th. Without warning! No apologies or anything, I immediately became irate because my children would be too far for my comfort from me. He told me they were completely sold out and there was nothing he could do, unacceptable. The other person offered a bed cot for all of us to sleep Comfortably in one room, also not acceptable. The manager then told me if he were me each parent can sleep in each room. I didn’t ask him to problem solve their issue and that solution doesn’t work for my HUSBAND and I. My children’s room Was riddled with ants! Disgusting! The next day they changed our rooms, but to my disgust, they don’t adequately clean their bathrooms or floors.. I didn’t hear a vacuum all weekend long, our refrigerators were dirty and so was the view. My children tried to enjoy the indoor pool however, it was filled with dirt so my children didn’t even want to get in. The kids room was also closed all weekend and that was a missed opportunity because the weekend was a busy weather wise. I have included the dirty bathroom photos, the videos and pictures you see online and on social media is foolery. I will Never come back.

When we arrived in our room the bathroom had a weird odor. Room service came and cleaned it again to correct whatever the issue was. The sliding curtains were broken and difficult to use. They sent maintenance up and they fixed the problem. The outdoor patio had a stream of moldy water created from the AC running, and for the first time to my surprise no tables to use for convenience on the patio.

The place is huge. The rooms are cute but not as clean as I'd expect. The outside colors of the hotel feel outdated. They are renovating though so I imagine things we be different sometime next year. Right on the ocean and I was able to sleep to the sounds of the waves crashing. Loved that. Not super close to the main attractions but close enough.
