Here is your complete, copy-and-pasteable hotel review for the Candlewood Suites Virginia Beach Town Center. ------------------------------ Overall Rating: 2 / 5 Stars I would not rebook at this location. While there are a few good perks, the building suffers from significant maintenance and cleanliness issues that made my stay uncomfortable. The Dislikes / Issues: * Health & Cleanliness: There is visible mold or mildew growing on the walls, and the rooms desperately need a deep clean. The stairwells are dirty, and the common areas frequently smell like marijuana and cigarette smoke. * Room Defects: The water faucets have their temperature selectors flipped (hot gives you cold, and vice versa), which is a safety hazard. Additionally, the A/C thermostat is broken and has to be set to "cold" constantly or else the room gets way too hot. The shower head also has the lowest water pressure I have ever experienced. * Facility Failures: For long-term stays, they only clean the room once a week. The internet is extremely slow. In the free laundry area, 1 out of 3 washers and 2 out of 4 dryers are broken, causing long waits. The ice maker is also broken. * Accessibility Struggles: The front entrance has heavy manual doors that do not auto-open. Trying to get inside with all of your luggage is a massive struggle, and it is even worse because their luggage carts are in terrible shape and need to be fixed or replaced entirely. The Likes / Positives: * Convenient Amenities: The room features a great kitchen fully equipped with a dishwasher, pots, pans, plates, cups, and utensils. * Free Laundry: The laundry area itself is completely free of charge to use, which is a nice touch despite the broken machines. * Hotel Perks: There is a ton of parking space, a little convenience store located right inside the lobby, and they offer free, freshly made coffee. * Staff: The staff members on-site are friendly and welcoming. Verdict: The friendly staff and great room kitchens do not make up for the lack of deep cleaning, broken amenities, and mold. I cannot recommend this specific location. ------------------------------ Would you like me to change any of the wording, or does this capture your experience at the Candlewood Suites Virginia Beach perfectly?

Stayed here with our 2 dogs spur-of-the-moment when our original plans changed, and we were very pleased with our findings. They gave us a first-floor room near the side entrance which worked out perfectly for us so our dogs wouldn’t have to be in the hallway for long (they aren’t used to hotel stays or apartment style living). We were pleased with the overall stay — very clean bedding and kitchenette. The bathroom is aging and could have been cleaner but for the price I really cannot complain. If we needed to, we would definitely stay here again. Parking is easy, though there is an event venue next door that guests of were definitely taking the hotel spaces for, but even with that we were able to get parking easily. Lastly, they’re super close to the downtown area and multiple highway exits but you don’t hear outside noise in the rooms.
