  Literally just checked in 30 minutes ago and wish I could find another place. Stains on EVERYTHING, roaches on the ceiling, couch is gross, floor is dry but feels slimy and slippery. I thought HIE was a good hotel but may rethink future stays if this is how they are now.

  The location was perfect for my travel needs. Close to where I needed to get back and forth. The front desk staff was not customer service friendly.. The manager on duty was not friendly did not speak just looked at you like you were a bother. The breakfast area was clean and the food and staff was customer service friendly and attentive. The carpet in the rooms could have been cleaner, more electrical outlets were definitely needed. And a clock in the room would have been a nice touch.

  I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels over the years, and it’s the people that make the difference. Mrs. Janet was the highlight of our stay. Every morning she greeted everyone with a smile and made breakfast feel less like a hotel and more like sitting down for breakfast at home. She has a way of making every guest feel welcome and appreciated. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and exactly what we needed, but Mrs. Janet is the reason we’ll remember our stay. Her kindness and genuine hospitality don’t go unnoticed. Thank you, Mrs. Janet, for making every morning start off right. We hope to see you again the next time we’re in Suffolk.

  We just completed our stay at this property, and I felt compelled to share our experience. The hotel appears to have been recently renovated and was exceptionally clean. Our room was spacious and well-appointed, with thoughtful amenities including brand-name body lotion, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. The hotel also offers an excellent complimentary breakfast, 24-hour coffee, fresh cookies, and bottled water. The beds were incredibly comfortable, with premium bedding and pillows that made for a great night's sleep. What truly made our stay stand out, however, was the outstanding hospitality. Every member of the hotel team was warm, friendly, and welcoming. We especially enjoyed meeting Janet, who took such wonderful care of us during breakfast, and Mr. Duke, who made us feel welcome from the moment we checked in. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and welcoming place to stay. We had a truly wonderful experience and would happily stay here again.

  I’ve never encountered a more friendly and helpful staff. A special shoutout to Janet who oversaw the breakfast service. She is a true gem. The rooms are average, but clean. The outdoor pool was very clean.
