  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Service, Comfort, and Hospitality! I had a wonderful experience during my stay at the Holiday Inn, and I want to give a special shout-out to two amazing ladies who made our visit even better! Natalie was so kind, welcoming, and helpful when we checked in late at night after driving from Georgia to Virginia through a storm with really bad weather. After a long, exhausting drive, her warm attitude and willingness to help were truly appreciated. She made us feel welcome right from the start. I also want to recognize Miss Mary, who prepared breakfast every morning. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, with a huge selection of options to choose from. The homemade biscuits and gravy were especially good! Everything was delicious, and Miss Mary was consistently courteous, friendly, and pleasant. Her warm demeanor made breakfast something to look forward to each day. The hotel was undergoing renovations due to a flood that had occurred just a few weeks earlier, and I was impressed by how well everything was being handled despite the circumstances. The staff continued to provide great hospitality and service throughout our stay. Our room was clean, and the beds and pillows were comfortable, allowing us to relax and get a good night’s rest. People like Natalie and Miss Mary are what make a hotel stay memorable. Their kindness, professionalism, and excellent customer service deserve to be recognized. Thank you both for making our stay so enjoyable, even while the hotel was recovering from an unexpected situation. Holiday Inn is fortunate to have such wonderful employees. We truly appreciated the hospitality, the delicious breakfast, and the comfortable accommodations. I would gladly recommend this hotel to others!

  This place is an absolute scam!! There is an issue with the listing in Expedia. I double checked the address and started the navigation from the app. I knew exactly where I wanted to stay. The booking was correct and I IMMEDIATELY tried to cancel. They will not refund. The name of the hotel is EXACTLY the same. Rocky Mount IHG....In a different state! Navigation don't through Expedia, so it has to be an issue with the listing. They refuse to refund, even though I wanted to rebook with the IHG I TRIED TO GET IN THE FIRST PLACE. They need to fix Expedia listing. They are trying to scam people. Thanks for nothing!! If I could give 0 stars I would.

  Booked, and paid, in advance. The web pages said to ask for nonsmoking room, and we chose not to. (Yes, we smoke). Arrived to find all rooms are non smoking, major renovations going on, having to go outside to get to the indoor pool!! Not even one extra pillow to be found. Oh yeah, there's a sign in the room that says.." Want a coffee maker in your room? Stop by the front desk!". The front desk had no idea what I was talking about. If my reservation was refundable, I'd go elsewhere.

  I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Rocky Mount, Virginia, with two rooms for my crew. Wednesday night, the fire alarm went off, and we later learned a water line had broken and flooded part of the first floor. Around 10:30 p.m., we were told to evacuate and find somewhere else to stay on our own. That was really tough at 11 o'clock at night with a work crew and two rooms worth of stuff to pack up and move. The manager never came out to speak with us, and we were basically left to figure it out ourselves. We did receive a refund, but there was no extra help finding rooms, no bonus points, or anything else to make up for the major inconvenience. I understand emergencies happen, and that the pipe breaking may not have been their fault, but it is still their facility, and how they handled guests afterward was very disappointing. At the very least, some bonus points or some kind of gesture would have gone a long way. I'd rate it two stars not because of the pipe breaking, but because of how the guests were treated.
