  Do not trust the listed amenities for this property. We booked a room at the Holiday Inn Express – Richmond Midlothian Turnpike because both their website and Expedia explicitly advertise that they are pet-friendly ($25 fee). We arrived at 7:00 PM with our family and pet, only to be told by the desk attendant that they "no longer allow pets." When I showed her the live website advertising pet accommodations, she claimed the GM changed the policy months ago and pointed to a small framed paper on the counter. She refused to call a manager and canceled our reservation on the spot. We were left stranded in the evening and spent nearly two hours finding alternate accommodations at a much higher cost. Running false advertising online while enforcing contrary rules in person is unacceptable. Save yourself the headache and book elsewhere.

  ​I booked this hotel for my family and small dog, only to be informed upon arrival that they no longer accept dogs. None of their channels—their website, Expedia, and even the welcome note provided—reflected this policy change. To make matters worse, no manager was available on-site to discuss the situation. This lack of communication completely derailed our planned weekend away. Needless to be said, we are extremely disappointed and will not be booking with a Holiday Inn Express again.

  The floor was sticky . It had only one set of towels in bathroom. The TV would lose. Signal it seemed every ten seconds .

  the worst holiday in express ever. The hotel is at least 30 years old. It is under renovation. So it feels like staying on a construction site. The rooms are huge but there us mold in bathrooms. Toilet wobbles. Ceiling light did not work. There was no couch. Metal.piece under bed was sticking out and scratched my leg. They should just shut the whole hotel down for renovation instead of having it partially open. The breakfast was big but eggs were barely warm.

  Staff were very nice. Hotel says when you check in they are remodeling and it shows. So hopefully things will improve. Breakfast is as you wouod expect and nothing to write home about but nothing bad as well for quick pre-made food for a box. Room vents covered in dust, tub had other people hair and mold. Toilet was so close to the floor I don't know how some cane use it. Outlet about sunk in wall and not safe for use. Fridge worked very well and AC did a great job. Curtains were ripped and unable to fully close.
